Content Description

京城临安，一座繁荣繁华的“地上天宫”。临安是全国最大的手工业生产中心。南宋临安工商业发达，手工业门类齐、制作精、分工细、规模大、档次高，造船、陶瓷、纺织、印刷、造纸等行业都建有大规模的手工业作坊，并有“四百一十四行”之说。临安是全国商业最为繁华的城市。城内城外集市与商行遍布，天街两侧商铺林立，早市夜市通宵达旦；城北运河樯橹相接、昼夜不歇；城南钱江两岸各地商贾海舶云集、桅杆林立。《南宋临安工商业》重点研究南宋时期临安工商业的发展。

Author Description

徐吉军，浙江宁波人，1961年生。1983年毕业于杭州大学历史系（现属浙江大学）。现为浙江省社会科学院研究员、图书馆馆长，浙江师范大学、浙江理工大学兼职教授。主要研究中国文化史和宋史，曾与李学勤、陈高华、傅璇琮、陈桥驿等先生合作主编有《长江文化史》、《黄河文化史》、《中国风俗通史》、《中国服饰通史》、《中国藏书通史》、《中国饮食史》、《中国都城辞典》等多部大型学术著作和辞典等；独著或合著有《南宋史稿》、《南宋都城临安》、《中国丧葬史》、《长江流域的丧葬》、《浙江名城》、《民国风俗史研究》等多部学术著作。多次获中国图书奖、国家图书奖提名奖和浙江省、杭州市社会科学优秀成果奖。

Book Abstract

1.军器监
军器监是生产与管理兵器等的官署，“监掌监督、缮治兵器什物，以给军国之用”。后来曾划归工部。
宋初，军器制造为三司胄案专管，军器监官员无专职。熙宁六年（1073），废除了胄案，乃按《唐六典》置监，以从官总判。元丰改官制，始置监、少监各一人、丞二人、主簿一人。其中，少监为之，贰丞参领之。南渡初，承平官府大多裁并，但高宗以用武之时，所务为急，仍置御前军器所。建炎三年（1129），高宗诏军器监并归工部，东西作坊、都作院并入军器所。绍兴三年（1133），复置丞一员，令工部相度合管职事归之。十一年，诏复置监、少监各一员。十四年，以朝奉大夫赵子厚守军器监，宗室为寺监长贰自此始。隆兴（1163）初，孝宗诏置造军器。已有军器所隶属工部，本监惟置丞一员。干道五年（1169），复置少监及簿。六年，以少监韩玉往建康点检物马以奉使军器少监为名。是年，复置监一员。淳熙（1174－1189）初，诏令军器不得进出，由是呈验浸省。淳熙二年（1175），钱良臣以少监总领淮东财赋。淳熙八年（1181），沈揆复以监长行诸监，长贰自是始许总饷外带，然二人实初兼版曹职事。嘉定十四年（1221），岳珂独以军器监总饷淮东，是后戎所作坊已备官于下宥府起部，并提纲于上监。在此期间，军器监事务稀简，这里成为储才之所。

Introduction

靖康之变，北宋灭亡。建炎元年（1127）五月初一日，宋徽宗第九子、钦宗之弟赵构在应天府（河南商丘）即帝位，重建宋政权。不久，宋高宗在金兵的追击下一路南逃，最终在杭州站稳了脚跟，并将此地称为行在所，成为实际上的南宋都城。
南宋自立国起，到最终为元朝灭亡（1279），国祚长达一百五十三年之久。对于南宋社会，历来评价甚低，以为它国力至弱，君臣腐败，偏安一隅，一无作为。近代以来，一些具有远见卓识的史学家却有不同看法，如著名史学大师陈寅恪先生在上个世纪四十年代初指出：
华夏民族之文化，历数千载之演进，造极于赵宋之世。①著名宋史专家邓广铭先生更认为：
宋代是我国封建社会发展的最高阶段，两宋期内的物质文明和精神文明所达到的高度，在中国整个封建社会历史时期之内，可以说是空前绝后的。②
很显然，对宋代的这种高度评价，无论是陈寅恪还是邓广铭先生，都没有将南宋社会排斥在外。我以为，一些人之所以对南宋贬抑至深，在很大程度上是出于对患有“恐金病”的宋高宗和权相秦桧一伙倒行逆施的义愤，同时从南宋对金人和蒙元步步妥协，国土日腹月削，直至灭亡的历史中，似乎也看到了它的懦弱和不振。当然，缺乏对南宋史的深入研究，恐怕也是其中的一个原因。
众所周知，南宋历史悠久，国土虽只及北宋的五分之三，但人口少说也有五千万人左右，经济之繁荣，文化之辉煌，人才之众多，政权之稳定，是历史上任何一个偏安政权所不能比拟的。因此，对南宋社会的认识，不仅要看到它的统治集团，更要看到它的广大人民群众；不仅要看到它的军事力量，更要看到它的经济、文化和科学技术等各个方面，看到它的人心之所向。特别是由于南宋的建立，才使汉唐以来的中华文明在这里得到较好的传承和发展，不至于产生大的倒退。对于这一点，人们更加不应该忽视。
北宋灭亡以后，由于在淮河、秦岭以南存在着南宋政权，才出现了北方人口的大量南移，再一次给中国南方带来了充足的劳动力、先进的技术和丰富的生产经验，从而推动了南宋农业、手工业、商业和海外贸易显着的进步。
