你身边有那种“就算老师不检查，也一定按时完成作业；就算行政不做考勤，也绝不借故迟到；就算上司不监督，也会自觉做好工作；就算已婚，生活无忧，也依然能保持好身材”的人吗？
我身边就有一位，他叫艾维。

艾维是我高中时的死党，大学毕业后去日本留学，如今在一家日资广告公司当设计总监，前途一片光明。但是，惹人关注的不是他的精彩游学生涯、优越的工作、美丽的日本妻子，而是他自律的生活。
比如，他烟酒不沾，咖啡和茶不碰，日均五千米的跑步风雨无阻，每周两堂健身课一次不落。吃的是应季果蔬，喝的是白水；餐桌上顿顿有粗粮，鱼肉从不吃油炸；调味品极少，过咸过辣从来不吃……

对于这种自律到令人发指的生活方式，有人问他：“明明是金字塔尖的五好青年，过的怎么是苦行僧的日子？”
他反问道：“肚腩越来越鼓，以此来证明时间这种材料的营养很丰富，难道就很骄傲吗？”

再转头看看我们周围，有多少刚出校门、刚结婚的男男女女们，他们腆着肚腩，双目呆滞，皮肤松弛，脚步拖沓……
他们在庸常的生活中失去了逐梦的热情，只能跟着别人喊口号“人生在世，吃喝二字”；他们在朝九晚五的工作中磨灭了个性，只能是“今朝有酒今朝醉，明日愁来明日愁”……
看到别人出成绩了，他们悔不当初：“如果当初我知道，我也能做到……”上进了三秒钟就累了，又自我安慰道：“至少我比某某某强人……“
久而久之，他们将一切的不如意归结于宿命，心不甘情不愿地念着“命里有时终须有，命里无时莫强求”。

梦游似的活着，确实也有一些事是会随着时间越变越“好”的，比如，以前你是胖，现在是“好”胖！

都说“物以稀为贵”，其实“自律”也适用于这个原则，正是因为只有少数人能做到自律，所以只有少数人的人生是无限精彩的。
很多时候，“轻松”“容易”“爽快”的同义词是“变丑”“邋遢”“落后”“失控”，等于“有害”。

熬夜看电视剧、泡酒吧、逛夜店、文身、买醉……这些事情看起来很酷，但其实一点儿难度都没有，只要你有点儿钱、有点儿闲就都能做到。
但更酷的是那些不容易的事情，比如读完一本书、坚持早起、有规律的健身、稳定体重等。这些在常人看来无聊且难以长久的事情才更加考验一个人，也更加锻炼一个人。

高度自律的人早起早睡，在其他人赖床的时候准备好了精美的早餐，又在别人熬夜玩游戏、追剧的时候养足了精气神；他们勤于锻炼、敢跟枯燥、无趣的生活死磕，所以才有了马甲线和腹肌，有了学富五车，所以才有了一路绿灯的快意人生。
他们始终节制着自己的欲望，以便保护自己的初心……这种对本能的抑制，给了他们某种优雅的气质。

我的建议是，不管环境多么纵容你，都要对自己有要求。对自己有要求的人，连老天都不忍心辜负。一边随波逐流，一边抱怨环境糟糕的人，最low！

见到大潘时，他已经瘦出了人形。
是的，没错，一米八的大潘，从之前的两百三十多斤瘦到了一百六。

时间回到两年前，体重严重超标的大潘去医院体检。
结果是，验完血糖，医生告诉他：“你的问题太严重，你需要马上做进一步检查。”
验完肝功能，医生告诉他：“你的问题很严重，你需要马上住院治疗。”

大潘着实被吓着了，在死亡“威胁”面前，他选择了认——玩命减肥。
以前，菜汤泡米饭，大潘一顿能吃三大碗，如今只能吃一小碗粗粮，还尽可能是素菜为主；以前，啤酒论箱喝，白酒论斤灌，现在是滴酒不沾。
每天拼死拼活地跑两万米，游泳两千米，到了晚上，整个人都快散了架，有两次还累昏过去了。

开始的时候，大潘跑步的感觉就像在推一辆踩了刹车的卡车，因为肚子上的肉太多，俯卧撑和仰卧起坐根本完成不了。
他回忆道：“那个时候才真正地明白，财富、荣誉、人脉……统统都是假的，只有长在身上的肉才是真的。”

我问大潘：“那你是怎么坚持下来的？”
他说：“就是想活，所以要跟肥肉死磕。什么励志书、励志电影，永远都不如医生的诊断书励志！”
