《心理治疗中的转变》是美国波士顿变化过程研究小组（以下简称“波士顿小组”）2012年出版的临床心理学著作，它集结了波士顿小组从建立至今发表的最重要的临床心理治疗文献。
波士顿小组，源自1994年在美国进行的一次多学科的临床工作坊。那次工作坊后，著名的发展心理学家丹尼尔·斯特恩等人于1995年在美国波士顿地区组建了这一跨学科研究的强大团队。在当代精神分析、心理咨询方面它作为全球前瞻性研究的专家团队，整合了来自发展心理学、精神分析、脑科学、生物学等各学科的著名学者和资源，将母婴关系及婴儿的心理发展，与精神分析中咨访关系的动态变化过程进行联接和比较，并就心理治疗师本身的主观性对治疗过程的影响进行了大量研究，其成果在很大程度上启示了未来精神分析、心理治疗的发展重点和方向。2004年，波士顿小组出版了《母婴关系与咨访关系中的主体间形式》，2012年则集结该团队的重要论文出版了《心理治疗中的转变》。
《心理治疗中的转变》以一种整合的模型阐述了全新的临床心理治疗与心理咨询的视角。这一模型相当大的一部分基于认知科学与依恋理论，对临床的各种症状进行了阐述，并且对临床心理治疗的动态互动过程进行了清晰的描述与阐明。从陈述性知识、程序性知识、内隐关系知晓、共享内隐关系知晓的个体生命体验建构模型（这对熟悉认知心理学的人来说应该是十分耳熟的名词）到临床心理治疗中的“当下时刻”、“现在时刻”、“相遇时刻”等概念都被清晰地阐述出来。波士顿小组的一些概念本身是十分具有挑战性的，例如内隐关系模型的说法对精神分析潜意识概念的挑战，使得一些精神分析家与波士顿小组的精神分析家多有研讨和论战。但无论如何，这些无疑都促进了精神分析，乃至整个心理治疗和咨询能够有机会站在十分不同的角度，返身检视自身概念内涵的时代性和有效性。这无疑会给未来的心理治疗与咨询的发展带来颇具改革性的冲击，并将成为某些理论的奠基。而波士顿小组所提出的“临床的相遇时刻”，以及这一概念对人类心理体验的贡献也从临床心理治疗和哲学两个角度，让我们再次深思马丁·布伯的“我与你的相遇”对于人类生命的重要性，由此也呼应了罗杰斯人本主义心理疗法的人性关怀。
2008年我与一些国外心理学家接触的时候，听到他们谈及斯特恩和波士顿小组的一些工作。从那时，我开始关注波士顿小组的研究与发展，同时发现了波士顿小组为自己建立的英语网站，在那里有他们发布的研究论文和成果，其上面也不乏福纳吉等名家的论文。当我2011年去美国加州参加第23届全球聚焦大会时，遇见了波士顿小组发表临床心理治疗研究演讲的学者，觉得这些研究及其成果十分有价值和意义。在我的临床心理咨询和精神分析过程中，由这些理念获得的领悟，也给自己的临床工作带来不少提升和增进。之后我即开始发心支持翻译和出版波士顿小组及其他相关国外前沿研究的作品。
