Introduction

很久以前，我就致力于探寻到达力量举世界之巅的方法。当时我觉得自己很成功。然后我遇到了帕维尔，我的训练思维获得了巨大的飞跃，我的职业生涯亦是如此。我叫马尔茨·巴特利（Marc Bartley）。在过去的10年里，我一直从事力量举，训练专业运动员和大众健身者，写作，并运用我所获得的知识、技能和实践经验，寻求超越人类极限的境界，并在此过程中与所有志同道合之人切磋共勉。

当时我的体重达到了有史以来最高的303磅（137.4千克），我决定减重。我的身高是5英尺8英寸（172.7厘米），我认为235磅（106.6千克）的体重比较理想。我采用了帕维尔研究设计的一个训练计划。这个训练计划与我的力量水平十分匹配，通过搭配碳水化合物循环饮食方案，我的体脂开始减少。最后，我减掉了109磅（49.4千克）体重，并参加了一次健美秀！
