陆生作发来《蔬菜有故事》《虫子有故事》两部书稿，嘱我在前面写点什么。我边读边想，脑子里长久浮现的一个词是：如坐春风。

我不知道，为什么这个词如此顽固地占据着我的头脑，读完书稿，想明白了，他这两部书稿，有知识，有故事，有传说，有童话，更有作者的亲历和体验，而所有这些元素，大多都能调动起我的情绪，我的思绪一直跟着他的文字在游走。

仿佛，此刻，晴朗的夜空，我们就坐在家门口，沐着三月的春风，面对宽阔的田野，听他娓娓讲述季节里的蔬菜，从马兰头、竹笋、蕨菜、香椿、南瓜、黄瓜、丝瓜，讲到茄子、番薯、冬瓜、大蒜、萝卜，这些蔬菜，都带着魂灵。刚刚耙过的稻田里，青蛙呱呱叫个不停，陆生作又从眼前的蛙，讲到蜻蜓、蝉、蜈蚣，讲到蜜蜂、蚯蚓、蚕，这些虫子，都伴着我们成长。从立春讲到立冬，陆生作把我们日常的蔬菜、身边的虫子，细腻而生动地讲了一遍，我有些着迷。

Book Abstract

青蛙

很多人都读过《小蝌蚪找妈妈》这个童话，知道青蛙是蝌蚪变的。

不过，下面要讲的这个民间故事可能你就没有听过了。

在很久以前，有一对老夫妻，烧香念佛一辈子了。老了老了，他们觉得该上西天去见佛祖了，就把家产全部变卖，买成烧纸烧了，装了满满一车纸灰，推着车往西天去。

他们逢人就说自己烧香念佛一辈子了，得了召唤，该上西天见佛祖去了。

在半路上，他们遇到一个杀牛的小伙子，也想跟他们上西天。他们可不答应！在他们看来，以杀生害命为业的，也想见佛祖？真是妄想。可小伙子真想去，缠住不放。旁边有个看热闹的说话了：“杀牛宰羊也是个行当啊，也得有人干，咋上不了西天？就看拜佛人是真修行还是假修行了。”老头儿听了，心想：带上他也好，能不能见到佛祖，是他的事，别叫别人说我们心窄。老太婆想：带就带上他，正好叫他推车，什么修行不修行的，他能见到佛祖？除非毛驴长犄角！

三人上了路，推车的活由小伙子包了。他们走啊走，一天又一天，一月又一月，春去秋来，还真走到了通天河边上。可没有大乌龟驮他们过河，只好在河边找了一户人家住下，每天望着八百里河面发愁。

房东是个独居的白发老奶奶，见他们这样，也很着急，就给他们出了个主意，说：“你们去砍些棍儿吧，可能有用。可有一样，我看你们仨，不一定都能过河去。要真这样，谁砍多少不要紧，怕就怕谁起了坏心眼儿，那就完了。”他们三人想：砍棍儿一定是扎木排
过河吧？就一起上山去了。

这地方草多树少，棍儿还真是个稀罕物。小伙子年轻力壮，砍得还可以。老头儿跟在后面砍得少，就很着急：砍得少扎不成木排，怎么过河呀？一急，他就偷了不少小伙子砍的棍儿，放在自己堆里。老太婆在最后，心里明白也不吱声。砍了一天，三人回头一看，小伙子后面就剩三根棍儿了，其余的都跑老头儿那儿去了。可说来也怪，老头儿的棍儿又都长在地上了，一根也拿不走。三人只好扛三根棍儿回到房东家。房东老奶奶见了叹口气，说：“跟我料想的一样！这些棍儿啊，只好用来烧火了。”

房东老奶奶到园里摘来三个硬皮瓜，一个锅里放一个，一个锅下点着一根棍儿，对老太婆说：“你煮瓜吧，可我看你们仨不一定都能到西天，就看谁的瓜先熟了。谁有邪心，他就完了。”说完，她走了。老太婆守着火，煮啊煮，用勺一按，小伙子的瓜先软了，这怎么能行？她忙把小伙子的瓜和自己的换了。过一会儿又一按，小伙子锅里的又比老头儿的先熟了，她又忙把小伙子的和老头儿的调换了。这样，老太婆的先熟了，老头儿的当间儿，小伙子的最后熟。吃瓜的时候，房东老奶奶瞧着他们直叹气，嘱咐不要把瓜壳丢了，明天拿到河边可以派上用场。

第二天，房东老奶奶送三人到了河边，告诉他们：“瓜壳就是船，你们坐上走吧。”老头儿和老太婆望着瓜壳发呆，说什么也不敢信。瓜壳怎么可能当船呢？小伙子心实，把瓜壳往水里一放，推车就想上。老太婆怕丢了车，忙拽住了车把手。小伙子只好自己纵身跳了上去。说来也怪，瓜壳真变成了一艘大绿船，载着他浮浮游游往对岸去了。老头儿和老太婆这才信服，放下瓜壳，等它变成两艘船，老太婆推车上船，老头儿也上了自己的船。谁知等他们上去后，船却不走，“呼”地又缩成了瓜壳大小，把俩人包住了，落进水里。等他们漂上来时，已变成一对绿青蛙。

也许他们对自己所做过的那些事情后悔了吧，公青蛙一上来就直叫：“棍儿，棍儿……”母青蛙就叫：“呱儿，呱儿……”纸灰变成了蚊虫，青蛙就捉蚊虫吃。据说，这就是青蛙的来历。
