Wangyuanji artisan handcrafted cast iron wok, hails from Jiangsu Province in China, are famous for its classic turtle patterned wok, it also has over 400 years of heritage. Whats more, the wok also able to overcooking prevention and reduce smoke. All types of cooking methods can be done in this wok, sautee, stirfry, deepfry, braise, boil and stew. It comes with a high-quality walnut handle that has burn prevention as well as a cedar wood lid. Very easy to clean but hard to crack. (Reminder: do not put wok in dishwasher or oven, apply tiny bit of oil to wok after use to maintain its life)
Seasoning
Step 1: First, clean the newly bought iron pot with warm water, no need to use any cleaning products, and dry it completely after washing
Step 2: Put the iron pot on the stove on medium heat to dry the water, and apply oil after the outer edge of the pot is heated.
Step 3: Turn to low heat, use vegetable oil, wipe every corner of the pot back and forth, so that every part of the pot is evenly covered with grease.
Step 4: Let the pot stand to cool and then repeat the above steps twice, leave it overnight, and it can be used normally the next day!
Maintenance of iron pot:
1. Use warm water for the first cleaning, do not use detergent
2. Use hot pan + cold oil at any time
3 Do not pour cold water after the pot is hot
4. Do not put in the dishwasher
5. When it is not used frequently, please heat it with a small fire and place it with oil, otherwise it is easy to rust
6. Wash it after use, don't put the leftovers in the pot for a long time.
