As a Northeastern girl, most of the customs of the New Year are inseparable from red!
There is an old saying in the Northeast for the New Year: "Twenty-three, send it to the kitchen king; twenty-four, sweep the house; twenty-five, freeze tofu; twenty-six, go to buy meat; twenty-seven, slaughter the rooster; twenty-eight, slaughter the cock. On the 29th, steamed steamed buns; on the 30th night, stay up all night; on the first and second day of the new year, we walk around the streets.” Since childhood, Chinese people have been making various preparations for the New Year. 哈哈哈哈 经常被人说像是个小耗子 喜欢囤东西…买吃的也喜欢买全套的—海底捞的一系列基本都买全了！希望大家伙新的一年都红红火火啊！
作为东北妹子，过年的习俗大多离不开红色！
东北过新年有古话云:“二十三，送灶王；二十四，扫房子；二十五，冻豆腐；二十六，去买肉；二十七，宰公鸡；二十八，把面发；二十九，蒸馒头；三十晚上熬一宿；初一、初二满街走。”从小年开始，中国人就在为新年做着各种各样的准备。贴春联、放鞭炮、逛庙会、换新衣……但无论什么形式的春节习俗，其实大多都与“红”有关。
中国人喜红色，早就不是什么稀奇事。从中国古代建筑到金榜题名的红榜，再到中国人旧式婚礼中红嫁衣、红喜字、红蜡烛等等，不论何时何地，中国人都习惯于用红色来增添喜庆的气氛。而农历春节，作为中国独有的，纪念新一年伊始的特殊节日，更是把“红”发挥到了极致。
