Howlin’ Rays 正式成立于20164月,在正式入驻中国城之前,它是靠着一辆餐车起家,店主兼主厨Johnny Ray Zone和妻子Amanda Chapman是这个品牌的联合创始人。 


机缘来自于一次旅行,夫妻俩行至 纳什维尔(Nashville)吃了当地的热辣鸡块之后惊为天人,决定也要研发出这样的炸鸡带回洛杉矶。接着他们就在当地走访了大约上百家大大小小的炸鸡店,其中不乏 Prince’sHattie B’s400 Degrees这种耳熟能详的老店。 


本着大厨的优秀基因,他很快就凭借着记忆和舌头👅创造出了属于自己风味的炸鸡,然后就和老婆开着美食小卡车四处跑,结果吸引了一批粉丝,最终决定在2016年开店。 



 


主厨Johnny Ray Zone其实来头也不算小,知道为什么他的那一帮副手厨师班底都会毕恭毕敬的大喊“Yes Chef” 吗?这是因为他曾经受教于地狱名厨 Gordon Ramsa y的旗下长达3年,后来又被美国第一的法国名厨 Thomas Keller 选为Bouchon Beverly Hills开业的第一批班底,之后还曾在La Poubelle担任过大厨一职。

至于传说中的当红辣子鸡是什么样子的呢?
