比如说你想要去X餐厅吃饭，可你的配偶、合作伙伴，或者是朋友想要去Y餐厅，于是你们双方开始争论起来。你指出那些去过Y餐厅就餐的人对这家餐厅的评价十分糟糕。可到最后，你还是不情愿地同意去Y餐厅。正像你所预料的那样，由于预订的座位被人抢走，你们不得不等上半个小时；菜上得很慢，饮料也很淡，食物的味道就像是垃圾。你痛苦极了，这时你有两个选择——选择A：不停地贬低这家餐厅，并埋怨你的伙伴做出了一个错误的选择，“要是刚才听我的就好了。”选择B：闭嘴，吃饭。忘掉眼前的不愉快，度过一个美好的夜晚。
