Author Description

圣埃克苏佩里，1900年6月29日生于法国里昂。他是法国文学史上最传奇的作家，同时也是一名飞行员，参加过两次世界大战，与伏尔泰、卢梭、雨果同入先贤祠。在现代文学史中，圣埃克苏佩里被认为是最早关注人类生活状况的作家之一。其经典代表作《小王子》问世后获得一致好评，被誉为“人类有史以来很好读物”。其他作品还有《夜航》《人的大地》《要塞》等。

张小娴，香港知名作家。她是全世界华人的爱情知己。20世纪90年代初于《明报》连载《面包树上的女人》而声名鹊起。

Book Abstract

我很快就知道了更多关于这朵花的事情。在小王子的星球上，花儿都很简单，她们只有一圈花瓣，根本不占空间，也不麻烦别人。一天早上，她们会在草丛里绽放，到了晚上又会静静地凋谢。可是有一天，不知从哪里吹来一颗种子，一朵新的花儿长出来了。小王子凑过去，留心看着这新发的嫩芽，她不像星球上其他幼苗，你知道，那可能是新品种的猴面包树啊。
但那株灌木很快就不长了，准备开出花来。小王子亲眼看着这朵大花的诞生，以为会有奇迹般的幻影从那儿蹦出来。但那朵花儿在她绿色的闺房里打扮，没有急着要出来，她细心地挑颜色，慢条斯理地穿衣服，一片一片地整理自己的花瓣。她才不要像罂粟花那样皱皱地来到人间，她只想以最美的风情露脸。
噢，是的！她是多么娇艳！她神秘地装扮了好多天。然后有一天早上，天刚破晓的时候，它突然露脸了。
花了那么多心思打扮之后，她打了个呵欠说：
“噢！我刚醒来，花瓣还是乱乱的。”
但小王子忍不住赞美她说：
“噢！你真美！”
“可不是吗？”花儿甜甜地说，“我是太阳出来的时候出生的。”
小王子看得出来，她并不谦虚，但她是多么动人，多么叫人兴奋！
“我该吃早餐了，”她接着说，“你是不是该想想我的需要？”
小王子脸红耳热，连忙提了一桶水来浇花。
但是，花儿很快就以她的虚荣心来折磨小王子。说真的，那可是挺难应付的。例如有一天，她谈到身上的四根刺，她对小王子说：
“尽管来吧！那些带爪的老虎，来试试看吧！”
“我的星球上没有老虎，而且老虎也不吃野草。”
“我又不是野草。”花儿甜甜地回答。
“噢，请原谅我。”
“我其实一点也不怕老虎，但我怕风。你不会为我做一扇屏风遮风吧？晚上我想让你把我放在玻璃罩下面，你这里很冷，我原来的地方——”
她说到这里忽然打住了。她来的时候是一颗种子，不可能知道外面世界的一切。她差点儿撒了一个天真的谎言，露了底。她连忙咳嗽了两三声，引开小王子的注意。

心中的小狐狸
那年，为了翻译圣埃克苏佩里的《小王子》，有一段日子，我几乎每天跟它厮磨。
一读再读，最喜欢的还是狐狸那一段。
狐狸跟小王子说：
“如果你驯服了我，我们便会彼此需要。
“对我来说，你是世上独一无二的。
“对你来说，我也是世上独一无二的。”
小王子想起了玫瑰，这朵花驯服了他。
小王子也驯服了狐狸。
从此以后，狐狸看到金色的麦田就会想起小王子的金发。它虽不吃小麦，却爱上了麦田的风声。
当离别的时刻，狐狸悲伤难舍。
小王子说：
“都怪你不好，我从来都不想伤害你，你偏偏要我驯服你。”
也许，我们每个人心中都有一只小狐狸。
我们渴望被自己喜欢的人驯服。
要是他驯服不了我，我根本不会爱他。
可是，一个人被驯服了，就得有流泪的准备，就得明白失望和悲伤随时会降临。
小王子不也是这样爱着他的玫瑰吗？
可是，玫瑰爱他吗？
一天，小王子来到一座开满了玫瑰的花园，他心里想念的却是故乡B-612小行星上他那朵独一无二的、老是让他牵挂和伤心的玫瑰，因为玫瑰驯服了他。小王子看到千百朵玫瑰，比他那朵孤芳自赏的玫瑰要漂亮得多，然而，他爱的终究只有他那朵玫瑰。
为什么偏偏是那朵骄纵的玫瑰而不是别的？纷纭众生、千万人之中，为什么唯独她映入他的眼帘？她真有那么好吗？有那么难以割舍吗？还是，这一切只因为她驯服了他？他走过一个又一个星球，却始终放不下对她的思念。深情终究是一趟孤独的旅程，她是他永远的牵绊。
