“二O一六年，我独自一人在东京生活了一年，东京也拯救了我。”受日本国际交流基金会之邀，蒋方舟在东京独居了一年。她越来越喜欢写漫长的日记，觉得孤独地生活一辈子也不是坏事。

日记共有四十六则，收录了她*新的短篇小说、演讲和时评，驳杂不失纯粹。从社会、艺术到当今中日两国世间百态，都有其独特又不失严肃的描摹与思考。

Author Description

蒋方舟，1989年出生于湖北襄阳。7岁开始写作，9岁写成散文集《打开天窗》。2008年被清华大学破格录取，次年在《人民文学》发表了《审判童年》，“将戏谑的口吻与犀利的质问、游戏的精神与坦诚的剖析熔于一炉”，获得*届朱自清散文奖。2012年大学毕业后任《新周刊》副主编。代表作：杂文集《正在发育》《邪童正史》《我承认我不曾历经沧桑》、小说集《故事的结局早已写在开头》等。蒋方舟的写作展示了对自身和“被时代绑架的一代年轻人”的关切。

伊藤王树，1978年出生于日本，纪录片导演，作品曾获艾美奖提名。执导的《15岁离开家乡的歌》（冲绳少女离开故乡的故事）等纪录片陆续在日本上映。

Book Abstract

今天中午跟日本国际交流基金会的工作人员见了面，送给他们我妈自己画的年画。图案是六子争头，三颗儿童的头，嫁接在六个胖大肥白成人化的身体上。他们大概觉得非常怪异，草率地赞叹了两声就匆匆卷起。

下午，我访问大学的教授介绍了东京大学的一个留学生给我认识，是一个上海女生，在日本已经待了四年，打扮做派已经很像日本女孩，很白，吃惊的时候嘴巴张得很圆。

晚上我请她去了一家评价很高的烤肉店，一份自助套餐13500日元，相当于700多人民币。90分钟内无限量地点海鲜和很好的牛肉。

“真是太贵的料理了。”她不停地感慨。

吃饭的时候聊天才知道她和我同龄，是嫁到日本的，她与丈夫是高中同学，一毕业就结了婚。她的婆婆嫁给了日本人，她的丈夫就也来日本生活。后来，她忍受不了丈夫每天打游戏打到早上四五点钟，自己在日本也没有朋友。婆婆让她做很多家务，以一个日本主妇的标准来要求她，她却想要上进，读了东大的研究生，拍纪录片，喜欢结交知识分子和独立纪录片导演。

“今天下午刚刚谈完离婚。”她说。还好，并没有立刻流出眼泪。

我恬不知耻地给出很多幼稚的建议，狂想如何嫁给有钱人，如同最幼稚的初中女生，庸俗得连自己都觉得面目可憎。

对于他人生命里悲惨的变故，我又爱听又怕听：爱听当然是出于劣根性，人们喜欢听那种把种种复杂的悲剧总结成三言两语的故事，听者像占了便宜；怕听是因为我总以为自己有劝解的义务——至少在口头上“解决”这件事，就像小学写作文时结尾一定要写“今天真是有意义的一天”，把一切都装进一个光明的尾巴里。可我劝解的能力非常差，如果在旧时的农村，大概是妇女圈里最受排挤的。

她吃了很多很多肉，我都已经吃不下了，她还在一直点。

“真是很贵的料理啊。”结完账，她又说了一遍，非常不安，好像吃很贵的牛肉是比离婚更严重的事故。

回住处的时候，我已经学会了怎么坐地铁。

因为喝了点酒，更加开心。因为掌握了新的技能而变得很自信，像第一次放学不用家长接就能回家。人踩着落叶回宿舍，觉得能够这样度过一辈子。

并不清贫的独身女学生，真是一种最理想的生活了。

Introduction

1786年9月3日凌晨三时，37岁的歌德提起行囊，独自一人钻进一辆邮车，逃往了意大利。

那时候的歌德在魏玛已经生活了十几年，身居要职。他出逃并非是因为走投无路，而是他发现自己的人生不知不觉被套上了一个齿轮：白天忙于政务，业余创作一些爱情诗，生活把创作热情压榨得干瘪枯竭。

他有朴素的直觉：这样下去不行，因此抛弃了一切，逃到了他心目中的乌托邦——意大利。他在那里生活了一年零九个月，足迹遍及整个意大利，从城市到农村，喜悦地目睹并且描述着岩石的硬度和空气的弹性。

歌德在意大利完成了《在陶里斯的伊菲格尼亚》，写了《塔索》《浮士德》的部分。意大利拯救了他，把他从成为一个附庸风雅的公务员的命运齿轮上解救了下来。

2016年，我独自一人在东京生活了一年，东京也拯救了我。

有生以来第一次，我度过了一段完全真空的生活，没有目标与意义，每天一睁眼就是一大片需要填充的空白。任何一件事都需要把时间拉得很长远，把浓度稀释，才能填充过完一天，所以我必须认真凝视美术馆里每一幅画，认真咀嚼每一口食物，认真地把每一个念想变得绵长。

认真也是孤独的结果。我几乎不会日语，大多数时候面对别人都只能微笑点头，无法建立任何情感联系，更无法在人际交往里投入什么热情。说实话，即便会日语也无助于我缓解孤独。东京是一个人情冷漠的城市，用获得芥川奖的作家、搞笑艺人又吉直树在《火花》里形容的：

“东京这个地方，聚集着从各个地方而来的人们。从前在乡下时，从漫画和电视剧里看见的东京，虽然灯火繁华，但人总是很冷漠。上京后我才明白了，那并不是冷漠，而是因为身为外来者的大家都心情紧张。外来者进入东京这个城市，一个个都表现出不要被吃掉的紧张状态，终于成了一个集合体。”

我在东京的生活仿佛在一种看不见的屏障中，无论是走在拥挤的表参道或涩谷，还是被裹挟在人群中去看花火大会，我始终感到人群是幻觉，我在与自己单独交谈。

被迫的认真与被迫的隔离，把我从之前一直在被动加速的跑步机上的生活中解救了下来，重新获得了观察和思考的能力。

这几年我很反感的一句话是：生活不只有眼前的苟且，还有诗和远方。

“眼前苟且”与“诗和远方”是一对虚假的对立。我在东京一年的生活表面看是“诗和远方”，生活在迷人的异域，鸡毛蒜皮消失了，可东京的生活同样存在着无奈的人性、琐碎的沟通、窘迫的算计与虚伪的寒暄。另外，网络的发达让“远方”的概念消失了，我身在异国，却时刻关注着国内的人与事，为我触手而不可及的苦难感到悲伤。正是这些并不美好的细节，才构成了生活的全部。

这或许就是为什么我爱读作家的日记和信件——不仅仅是出于某种窥私癖，更是因为那仿佛是一种反向的摄影。作品是艺术家生命的结晶和照片，我通过日记和信件，把那凝固一瞬的风景在时空上进行扩展，看到了他们完整的艺术生活。

所以我也保留了自己日记里那些絮叨的呓语和局促的社交，全部摊开来，有种“全暴露了”的快感。

1786年11月4日，歌德在罗马给自己的母亲写了一封信，信中说：“我将变成一个新人回来。”

重获新生的歌德其实并没有变成一个新人，就像在东京度过的一年并没有把我变成一个新人，我们只是更像自己本来该成为的样子。
