哲学教授鹫田清一希望通过一种简单易懂的方式向人们讲述他关于时尚的“身体论”。

Author Description

鹫田清一（1949年9月2日－），日本哲学家。大谷大学教授、大阪大学名誉教授。曾任关西大学文学部教授、大阪大学校长。2015年开始任京都市立艺术大学理事长、校长。其作品《分散的理性》、《时尚迷宫》获得1989年SANTORY学艺赏。《“听”的力量》获得2000年第三届桑原武夫学艺赏。

不好看的身体，让人为难的身体
身体这个东西，真是让人为难。
它和我们想象中的完全不一样：它不是那么好看，即使我们怎么下功夫，也很难有大的改变；在我们不想被看到的时候，却没办法把自己的身体遮起来不被看到……这不好看又麻烦的身体，我们甩也甩不掉，真是让人没办法，有时候就难免徽有些讨厌它。
应该是十几岁的时候开始的吧：声音变得奇奇怪怪；脸上的油脂越来越多，冒出粉刺；这令人尴尬的地方长出深色的毛发；胸前难受地胀起来；小腹剧痛，血从两腿之间流下……
身体给我们带来这样那样的病痛，我们却无法预知这些东西什么时候会来，所以在应对的时候，永远都处在一个特别被动的位置。即使来了，也只能尽量去安抚自己，学会接受和妥协。我们每个人都是如此渺小又无防备的存在，对自己的身体总是抱有种种的不安。
更让人不知所措的是，我们自己本身竟然无法看见自己全部的身体。一个人的身体，自己真正能看见的地方，到底又有多少呢？手和胳膊我们还算能看得清楚，可是到了腋下就不怎么看得见了。在处理腋毛的时候，脖子和眼睛都要转一个弯，简直要把人累死才好。当然，有人会说，照个镜子不就完了吗。可是镜子里的左右又和实际的左右不一样，简直要让人抓狂。因为我自己是男的，处理体毛的时候，也就是刮个胡子而已。但我记得自己在青春期刚长腋毛的时候，为了能看清楚这崭新的毛发，让我整个肩膀都抽了筋。而肚子虽然低头就能看得到，但稍微往下一点就不是那么容易了。对于女孩子们来说，最隐私的部位要是不用镜子的话想必是完全看不见吧。
我们看不见自己的后背和后脑勺也就算了，最让人不解得是，我们竟然看不见自己的脸。虽然透过镜子能看到，但那张脸，一定是在那一个时刻摆出来，早已设定好了的一张脸。我们永远都无法用自己的双眼看到自己面对别人时的脸。在这张脸上写满了我们每一个细微的情感，在我们无法看见、控制的时候，原封不动地传达给他人。这是多么可怕的一件事啊！古时候的人们戴斗笠或者干脆用头发遮住脸，直到现在世界上某些地方的人们也在户外会用布遮住脸，仔细想想也不是没有道理。
尼采说过，每个人距离自己最遥远。那是不是可以说，每个人距离自己的身体也是最遥远的呢？自己的身体我们智能看到一小部分，身体的内部更是完全看不见。在医院通过胃镜或者放射片虽然能看到自己身体的内部，但是在医生说这是你的身体的时候，看着照片上陌生的器官，怎么努力都无法得到一种实际的感觉。我们自己能从自己身体上获得的信息真是少得可怜。
每个人距离自己的身体最远，想起来就觉得挺荒谬的了，而更荒谬的是，自己的身体还会在不知不觉中产生各式各样的变化。
最近我总没来由地感觉自己的身体在萎缩，特别是在搬来东京生活之后。21年飞快地过去，我不再能自由地活动自己的身体，声音也有时候也发不太出来，就好像一个木偶一样。我开始有很多的顾虑，很多的迷惘，有时甚至萎靡不振，但又说不出自己到底是怎么了，心里好是着急。
最近解散的舞蹈团体“白虎社”中的原舞者青山美智子，在团体活动中因交通事故去世了。她在当年的入团申请书中曾写道，每个人都会体会到身体的闭塞感。这种闭塞感，也可以说是身体变得僵硬的这种感觉。这种僵硬不是因为人感到紧张或是羞耻，而是来自于一种强迫观念的束缚。比如说：触摸异物会让人害怕；醉大叔在自己身边会觉得不舒服；因为担心自己的体臭和口臭会被他人察觉而感到不安（也有“口腔精神病”的说法）；因为无法忍受皮肤出油，只要一有时间马上就洗澡的洁癖症；只要是自己的身体在“标准尺码”之外，就会觉得自己丑，并且立马开始节食；因为瘦身带来的饮食紊乱，进而绝食或是爆食等等。这些病症一直就在我们每个人的身边。
