我们所处的时代可以说是互联网时代，而金融是经济的血液，近些年来，金融和金融创新正在成为越来越热门的词汇，任何行业的从业人员，都希望和金融沾点边，而金融行业的业务人员，不谈谈金融创新，似乎已经落伍了。

金融创新确实给我们带来了便捷，如支付宝解决了买卖双方的信任问题，P2P部分解决了融资难的问题，众筹解决了创业者的初始资金问题，减低了创业门槛等等，但也应该看到，金融创新也出现了许多问题，如众所周知的p2p，跑路事件不断层出不穷，给普通百姓的生活造成很大的影响。

金融风险具有传染性，局部金融风险的爆发，若处理和应对不当，很容易形成全局性的系统性风险。因此，在包括互联网金融在内的各种金融创新过程中，如果过度强调创新而风险防控不到位，往往会带来令人意料不到的结果，小则为金融风险“黑天鹅事件”事件，大则会演变为金融危机。美国前财长萨默斯对此曾有一个形象的比喻，他说：“金融创新如同飞机，它为人们提供了方便快捷的交通方式，能够让人们更快地到达目的地。不过一旦坠毁，后果将非常严重。”

因此，我们必须充分认识到，金融创新是一把“双刃剑”，在提升资源配置效率、丰富金融产品的同时，创新也会带来潜在的金融风险，尤其是如果披着金融创新外衣而演变为非法集资等行为，则会严重扰乱经济金融秩序。也就是说，金融创新与风险防控犹如矛、盾双方，互为攻守，唇齿相依。如若没有风险防控，金融创新恐成脱缰之马。这就需要在强调金融创新的同时，必须强化风险防控能力，既要加快金融创新步伐，又要做好风险防范，把握好二者的平衡。

因此大家不管是否从事金融行业，都要对金融创新有个全面地了解。现在关于金融创新的著作很多，但很少有全方位的从剖析金融创新的理论到分析金融创新实践的著作，尤其是目前还没有把新三板、亚投行和离岸金融中心的建设也纳入金融创新范畴的著作，王文革先生的这部著作填补了这方面的一个空白。
