Author Description

戴海琦，1947年10月生，获江西师范学院学士学位、华南师范大学教育学硕士学位，入选江西省高校教学名师，2006年获国务院政府特殊津贴。现为江西师范大学心理学院教授、基础心理学专业博士生导师，兼任中国心理学会心理测量专业委员会委员、中国教育学会教育统计测量分会副理事长、江西省心理学会副理事长。长期从事心理与教育测量学、心理与教育统计学的研究与教学工作，主要研究方向是项目反应理论（IRT）。1992年出版专著《项目反应理论及其应用研究》，1999年主编教材《心理与教育测量》。2002年出版的《现代教育与心理测量学原理》被教育部研究生工作办公室推荐为研究生教学用书。

《心理测量学（第2版）》：
（五）心理测量误差存在的普遍性任何测量都是有误差的，误差的区别只在于误差的性质、误差的大小、误差的来源和误差控制的难度上。任何测量要想完全消灭测量误差是不可能的。心理测量也不例外。而且与某些测量相比，心理测量误差存在的状况还非常严重。在一定意义上说，研究心理测量的主要任务也是最富挑战性的任务就是研究如何控制测量的误差。
1.测量误差的类型
测量误差是指测量所得值与欲测特质的实际值之间的差异值。与其他测量一样，心理测量的误差有两种类型：一种是随机误差，另一种是系统误差。测量的随机误差是指测量所得值与欲测特质的实际值之间的大小和方向都会随机变化的差异值。测量的系统误差是指测量所得值与欲测特质的实际值之间的大小和方向都不变的差异值。举个简单的例子：我们用一台灵敏度极高的台秤反复称同一件物品，会发现每次的测量值都不一样，有时大一点，有时小一点，这就是测量的随机误差。如果台秤的托盘不经意间被换成了一个比原托盘重5克的托盘，那么无论哪次称重，也无论称什么，物品的实际重量都会比它的“读数重量”轻5克，像这类误差就属于测量的系统误差。在心理测量中造成测量误差的情况要比此例复杂得多。在通常情况下，心理测量的随机误差和系统误差是与实际测量值共居一体、混淆难分的，我们的任务是要将它们从实际测量值中分离出来，评估它们的大小，研究进一步控制它们的办法。
2.测量误差形成的原因
造成心理测量误差的原因是多方面的。首先，作为测量目标的人的心理特质的特殊性质会使测量产生误差。人的心理特质具有内隐性、抽象性，这也就可能使我们对测量目标的认识不清晰，导致我们对它的测量产生误差。另外，人的心理特质还具有不稳定性，被试即时的生理、心理状态的不同都会造成所测特质的波动起伏，从而导致误差的产生。此外，也可能由于被试未掌握正确的作答技能，致使作答不能代表其真实水平。还有一种特殊的情况是被试故意掩饰心理实际状况，致使测验对他的评价出现误差。
其次，使用质量不高的测量工具可能造成测量误差。心理测量是间接测量，我们要靠编制题目“刺激”出入的外显行为来推测人的心理，而人的外显行为与人的心理特质只具备相关关系而不具备一一对应的函数关系。如果所编的测验题目“刺激”出的外显行为不是欲测心理特质的代表性行为，或所编测验题目只“刺激”出了欲测心理特质的一部分行为，或“刺激”出的外显行为还不是那么清晰和稳定，则都会造成测量误差。
再次，心理测量施测过程和施测环境安排控制不好也可能造成测量误差。比如施测过程没有统一要求，测试指导语没有统一版本，作答起始时间和长短不统一，施测时的内外环境令被试不能集中精力，这都可能造成测量误差。一种特殊的情况是测试过程失控、纪律混乱，由舞弊而导致更为严重的测量误差。
最后，心理测量中主试的一些不良品质也能造成测量误差。就目前的技术水平而言，心理测量对主试还有较多依赖。测量工具是主试编制的，若主试对所测心理特质的理解有误，就会导致测量的误差；测量是由主试主持的，若主试实施的程序有误，也会导致测量的误差；测量的结果是由主试评定的，评分标准掌握不准确也会导致测量误差。
