彭小菊，1983年毕业于山东中医学院中医系，青岛大学医学院附属医院从事中医临床工作25年，获得一项中医保健方面的专利，主持山东省教育科研基金资助的预防医学和心理学方面课题。主编《延年益寿中草药应用》等著作。2006年获山东省软科学优秀成果三等奖。

Book Abstract

第一章概述为了更好地应用抗衰老及老年病防治的中草药，有必要首先介绍老年期生理、病理特征，以及延年益寿中草药的应用原则等，目的是使这类中草药与临床应用结合更紧密，以充分发挥其效用。一、老年期划分与人类自然寿命《黄帝内经》记载：“人年五十以上为老，三十以上为壮，十八以上为少，六岁以上为小。”随着社会的进步、人民生活水平的提高，我国人均寿命逐年增加，由建国前的35岁提高到l982年的67.88岁。为此，1982年中华医学会老年学学会根据我国实际情况，提出我国以60岁以上者为老年人，并提出老年分期意见：45～59岁为老年前期，60～89岁为老年期，90岁以上为长寿期。世界卫生组织年龄划分45～59岁为中年人，60～74岁为年轻老人，75岁以上称老年人，90岁以上为长寿老人。1999年统计，我国老龄人口已达到1.28亿。当前联合国世界卫生组织规定：亚太地区60岁以上的人称为老年人，这与我国的划分意见相一致。世界卫生组织还确定：60岁以上老年人占全国人口的10％以上为老年型国家，世界老年人口正以每年2.4％的速度增加。根据预测，我国老年人口目前已占全国人口的11％左右，也就是说，我国已进入“老年型”国家的行列。
