Author Description

唐孝威，浙江大学教授、博士生导师、中国科学院院士，于20世纪80年代以来领导中国科学院高能物理研究所实验组参加L3实验以及AMS实验等国际科技合作，并在生物物理、核医学、脑科学等交叉学科研究方面取得有创见的成果。近年来唐院士和我国神经科学家一起，积极推动神经信息学的研究。已出版：《正负电子物理》（主编，科学出版社，1995年）；《脑功能成像》（主编，中国科技大学出版社，1999年）；《统一框架下的心理学与认知理论》（上海人民出版社，2007年）《脑与心智》（浙江大学出版社，2008年）；《心智的无意识活动》（浙江大学出版社，2008年）。

第一部分物理研究
边界条件对二维斜面颗粒流颗粒分布的影响
1.引言
近几年来已经有许多关于颗粒流运动规律研究的报道，目的是研究影响颗粒流运动状态的主要因素，Chen等人研究了电场作用下管流从稀疏流到密集流的转变。徐光磊等人的实验分析了斜面上二维颗粒流发生稀疏流到密集流的突变的临界开口Dc。与初始流量和通道宽度的关系。鲍德松等人分析了二维传送带上圆片颗粒运动与开口大小及传送带速度的关系，结果表明存在导致传送带上圆片颗粒运动发生变化的临界速度。在Tasi等人对斜槽中颗粒流的研究中，通过改变通道出口的大小，颗粒在斜槽上的流动存在均匀密度流（uniform dense flow）、两相流（two phase flow）和加速气态流（accelerating gaseous flow）三种不同的状态，无论是均匀密度流还是两相流，颗粒流动状态都与通道宽度有关，通道边界粗糙度对颗粒流动有明显影响。另外，Savage嘲认为颗粒流存在两种极限流动状态，一种是类似于流体的稀疏颗粒流，这类颗粒流颗粒之间的相互作用主要是颗粒之间的相互碰撞，而另一种是准静态颗粒流，颗粒之间的相互作用则主要表现为摩擦相互作用，但在大部分情况下两种状态将共处于同一颗粒系统中，对于二维垂直通道颗粒流的横向速度涨落与通道宽度有关。Dmitri Volfson等人采用连续介质和分子动力学理论模拟了部分流化态的剪切颗粒流，他们采用质量、动量以及用耗散系数修正的能量守恒方程描述了在稀疏流状态下的颗粒流。Jenkins等人认为稀疏流下的颗粒流以颗粒间碰撞为主要作用力，这点和Tasi等人的结论一致，他们的研究表明流动速率与碰撞时间相关，经典的流体力学方程加上非弹性碰撞的修正项，可以描述颗粒的稀疏流现象。对于处于密集流状态下的颗粒流就不能采用经典的流体力学方程描述。因为当颗粒处于密集状态时，颗粒之间或颗粒与器壁间主要是以摩擦互相作用，使流动的性质变得十分复杂，本文主要研究稀疏流状态下边界条件对斜面上单层颗粒流的横向分布的影响。

唐孝威先生是核与粒子物理学家，又是生物与医学物理学家和脑与认知科学家。他早年在原子核研究单位，参与我国核探测器的创业。他长期在国防基地从事我国国防科研工作，并解决一系列关键技术问题。此后他领导中国实验组，参加高能物理国际合作实验，在高能物理基础研究中作出重要贡献。其后他致力于多学科的交叉研究，包括物理学、生物学、医学、脑科学、心理学、认知科学问的交叉研究，为开拓我国医学物理学、脑功能影像学和神经信息学等学科领域作过长期不懈的努力。
唐先生在2001年调到浙江大学从事教学和科研工作。他和浙江大学及国内有关单位的合作者，在物理学、生理学、心理学和病理学等学科领域中，选择若干问题进行实验研究和理论研究，如：物理学中的颗粒物质问题，生理学中的脑功能问题，心理学中的认知过程问题，和病理学中的老年性痴呆症等问题。
