Author Description

星云大师，1927年生，江苏江都人，为临济宗第四十八代传人。1949年初来台湾，曾主编《人生月刊》、《今日佛教》、《觉世旬刊》等佛教刊物。1967年创建佛光山，致力推广文化、教育、慈善等事业，先后在世界各地创设俩百余所寺院道场，并在海内外设立十六所佛教学院。1985年，传办国际佛光会，现任国际佛光会世界总会长、世界佛教徒友谊会荣誉会长。星云大师著作等身，著有《释迦牟尼佛传》、《往事百语》、《迷悟之间》、《人间万事》、《合掌人生》、《包容的智慧》、《舍得》等，并译成英、德、日、韩、西、葡等十余种语言，流通世界各地。

Book Abstract

前文我们说明福德与福德性的不同处，但是福德性不是什么都没有，福德性蕴含的是一种“能力”，就像每一个众生都具备有成佛的“能力”。福德性中含有无限的福德。像经文所说：“若复有人，于此经中受持，乃至四句偈等，为他人说，其福胜彼。”四句偈，指的是三十二分经文的哪四句偈呢？诸家所说，议论纷纷，有人认为是前分的“不可取，不可说，非法，非非法”，有的认定是“若以色见我，以音声求我，是人行邪道，不能见如来”；也有人指为是“一切有为法，如梦幻泡影，如露亦如电，应作如是观”。众说纷纭，无一定论。其实我们切勿被文字瞒骗，读经者要善于“转经”，而不被经所转！佛陀说的四句偈，原无定法，只是显明受持此经的福德无量无边，即使仅受持经中最短少的四句偈，所获的福德胜过布施三千大千世界的七宝。《坚意经》说：其有好心善意之人，闻佛明法，一心而听。能一日可。不能一日，半日可。不能半日，一时可。不能一时，半时可。不能半时，须臾可。其福不可量，不可訾也。
此好心善意之人，即是能解佛所说义，受持般若的福德性，即使须臾一念，也能获福无量。《大般若经》说，受持般若有十种利益：
（一）一切喜舍，无有施想。
（二）持戒不缺，不生戒相。
（三）行于忍力，无度众念。
（四）行于精进，离于身心。
（五）修禅定乐，不乐定境。
（六）一切魔军，不得挠乱。
（七）外道邪论，正心不动。
（八）渡生死河，达涅盘岸。
（九）于众生身，起增上悲。
（十）尽形寿命，入大乘道。
一法一偈的福德能令人弃迷得悟，由痴转慧，此福德性含藏的福德是无与伦比。因此，对经中义理能深信忆念，即是“受”，依此理，放旷无住于日用之中，即是“持”。我们对善法正道要能受持奉行，不受不持，读诵千经万论，就像牧人在计算他牛羊的数目罢了！闻法不精勤受持，蹉跎大好光阴，白白错失超凡入圣的时机。
有一天上午，佛陀着衣持入舍卫大城乞食，阿难也跟随着。当时，有一对年老的夫妇，佝偻的背，蹲在街道烧垃圾的地方取暖，像是只掉光羽毛的老鹄鸟，流露贪婪又悲苦的神情。
佛陀告诉阿难：“这对年老的夫妻，如果在人生四个阶段：年少、青年、壮年、
中年，能够勤奋工作，节俭储蓄，就可以成为舍卫国第一或第二或第三或第四的富有长者。如果能够学道修行，精进不懈，也可以证得阿罗汉果或阿那含果或斯陀含果或须陀浬果，入贤圣位，得解脱乐。但是他们奢逸堕落，闻法不着意受持，年老时，财富散去，更错失证得解脱果位的因缘。”
佛陀语重心长的教示：“年少时，不勤奋求取富足，也不修持梵行，老年后就像老鹄鸟栖止于干涸的池畔，只能悲苦的度尽残生。”
