1, Taiwanese Livelihood Taro Crisp

Each taro cake is about 2 inches in diameter2 inches.

Generally speaking, this is a good idea for a product with a long shelf life. The taro flavor is relatively full, not too sweet, not greasy, and more layered. But it is relatively dry, not too fragrant to eat, and the powdery taste of the meringue is a little heavy. Personally, I don't like sweetness, so I won't repurchase.

The bean paste and egg yolk crisp is divided into three layers: the outer layer is meringue with black sesame, the middle layer is red bean paste, and the inner layer is salted egg yolk.

Lotus Seed Paste and Egg Yolk Crisp: The outer layer is pastry with white sesame seeds, the middle layer is lotus seed paste, and the inner layer is salted egg yolk.

The two egg yolk pastries are the same except for the color of the sesame seeds and the filling in the middle layer. The salted egg yolk is salty enough, except that it is a little dry. The bean paste and lotus seed paste are very fine and soft. As a person who doesn't like sweet taste, I think it is a little sweet, but it is still within the acceptable range. It may be just right for those who like sweets. The puff pastry is a little too powdery and dry. Overall it doesn't taste good. After all, it is a long shelf life product, and these points may not be avoided.

In one bite, the taste and texture are layered. I cut the egg yolk crisp, brushed it with a layer of oil, and heated it up in the oven to see if it would taste a little more fragrant. It is indeed a little fragrant, but just a little, can't turn things around.

I personally like to eat salted egg yolk-flavored dim sum, so I will probably repurchase.

As soon as I opened the plastic cover in the box, there was a salty aroma of green beans. After cutting, however, there is no braised pork! The brown bits in the green bean paste are the crispy onions, which are the source of the salty aroma. Although there is no braised pork, it still tastes good.

This mung bean is convex in two layers, the outer layer is meringue, and the inner layer is mung bean paste and onion crisp. The puff pastry is still a bit powdery, but better than the egg yolk crisp puff pastry. The puff pastry will be looser after heating in the oven. The inner layer of mung bean paste is powdery in texture, crispy in taste, and the dominant sweetness is tinged with the salty aroma of crispy onions. I'd love it if I could mix in a higher percentage of onion crisps or marinated meat.

This mung bean is a little dry, but it is better than the previous two. There is no way for a long shelf life product. The presence of onion crisps still added a little oiliness. I have always liked eating mung bean convex, and will probably repurchase.
