【Fried Chicken at Tucson】Ikkyu Japanese restaurant that only sells ramen 3 days a week
This is a well-known Japanese ramen shop in our village, but their house only sells ramen from Thursday to Saturday during the week, and is closed on Sunday, and only sells rice and sushi rolls at other times. According to the store owner, ramen is not served on weekdays because it takes a long time to cook the soup. However, although their store is small and the price is not expensive, a ramen is less than $8.95, but the ramen they sell is no worse than a high-end restaurant.
The ramen in their house has three flavors, soy sauce, miso and tonkotsu ramen. The tonkotsu ramen is usually spicy, but it's actually an acceptable level of spiciness, so don't worry about it. Friends who like spicy food can add seven flavors (or I didn't look carefully) chili powder.
The standard ramen noodles are char siu, minced meat, bamboo shoots, and fish cakes. My favorite is their bamboo shoots, so every time I add an extra extra, the barbecued pork below should also be extra, usually only two pieces.
The soup base is really authentic. Even people like me who don't like soup can't help but drink a few more sips. The ramen noodles are more elastic and absorb the taste of the soup. Compared with other ramen, the char siu is thin and thin, but it is soft and not firewood. Minced meat is one of the essence of this bowl of ramen. Other tonkotsu ramen will not specially add a spoonful of minced meat in it to drink soup. When I scooped up a little minced meat, I was pleasantly surprised.
When packing this and other things, the soup will be served in a separate bowl, so you can eat hot noodle soup even at home.
This is their signature Ikkyu Roll ($6.5), a super large roll, which is almost full after one plate. It contains crab sticks, avocado, tuna puree and skirt. The key is the ell sauce. Those who love grilled eel can't resist this sweet sauce.
Spicy Tuna Don ($9.42) I see that many Americans like to eat, but I... Hmm think it is very general, mainly because I don't eat too much. After eating the tuna on the top, I can only stare at the rice below.
Our shop is an old shop. I like the busy and lively atmosphere of the shop staff. Although the shop is small, there are still many people eating at lunch time.
