How's everyone's Christmas? 😊My family and I actually prepared Christmas gifts for each other a long time in advance, but we went to different stores to buy some small gifts for each other on the weekend a week ago. In the end, I received 26 gifts. . 🎁
One of my gifts was a 6-quart Lodge cast-iron pan. I casually mentioned to him before that I wanted to buy a larger-capacity cast-iron pan, and he silently wrote it down. Although the family members don't usually cook and don't know what brand to buy, the Lodge he gave is not what I want most, but I am still quite moved.
After the first use, it still feels very easy to use, the quality is excellent, much better than I expected. The pan can withstand high temperatures up to 500°F, so any cooking method will work with it. The bottom is also wide, so it is also suitable for frying food. I use this pot to cook chicken soup. In about 1 hour, the house is full of fragrance. Because the pot is well sealed, the cooking is very fragrant. I obviously found that under the same time, the chicken soup made with this pot is much better than the ordinary pot. I made American Chicken Noodle Soup.
At present, the disadvantage I found is that the handles on both sides are relatively narrow, so it is not easy to take it after wearing gloves, but after all, the price is much different, and I think the price-performance ratio of pots at the same price is very high!
practice:
1. Put cold water in a pot, add chicken thighs, simmer until boiling, skim off the foam, and simmer for 2 hours on medium-low heat. Then, take out the soup and chicken, debone the chicken thighs, tear them apart, and set aside for later use.
2. Add olive oil to the pot, sauté onion and minced garlic until fragrant, add salt and black pepper. Add diced carrots and celery, stir-fry until soft and add chicken stock and chicken.
3. Add egg noodles, add thyme, parsley, oregano and bay leaves. Cover and cook over medium heat for 10 minutes. Season with salt and black pepper before serving.
