Book Abstract

《蒋纬国口述自传》：
父母亲被果夫夫人这么一说，就出去工作了。当时是上海最乱的时候，党员人数不多，大家分配事情做，忙得很，总理本人虽然没有俏沉，但是也实在是一筹莫展。
那时我已经奄奄一息，果夫夫人就到隔壁中药房抓了一副“金老鼠屎”。这种药比普通“老鼠屎”重一份药量，而且用金纸包起来，所以称为“金老鼠屎”，样子跟米粒很像。通常这种药是有人吞鸦片烟自杀时用来解毒的。果夫夫人喂我吃成人份量的一倍，第二天，我就睁开眼睛，也不哭闹了，非常有效。果夫夫人又到中药店去抓了一副成人份量的“金老鼠屎”，吃了以后，我的病就好了。不过，那位日本医生还是继续来看我，让我服用西药，他特别交代了一句话：“这个孩子以后求学的时候，凡是与计算有关的，在初中以前，不能超过一个钟头，在高中以前，不能超过两个钟头，过了高中之后，脑子已经成长完成，就不必限制时间了。”我小时候一向听话守纪，所以年龄比较大之后，听母亲这么讲了医生的指示，就照着吩咐做，一直到高中毕业才停下。真是感谢老天，我的脑子没有因为这场病而受伤，病后的保护也一直很好。
有一年，果夫夫人在台北过八十岁寿诞，席开八十桌，那时我正在高雄大演习，特别搭飞机回来为她祝寿。在寿席间我把当年她的救命之恩告诉宾客，并敬了果夫夫人三杯酒，再跪在地上磕了三个响头。然后我又连夜搭火车回高雄继续演习。
在我的生活过程中有一段痛苦经过，那就是童年时光。
父亲在十六岁时（民前十一年）与毛氏夫人结婚，不过，父亲在出国之前（民前四年）就已经把毛氏夫人休掉了。从前的时代没有所谓的离婚。父亲是一个在农家出生的南方孩子，非常孝顺母亲，如果不是因为家中发生重大变故，怎会忍心抛家离井，到保定北洋陆军速成学校，再说祖母也不会让他离开家，因为对祖母来说，父亲是独子。我的大伯父是孙氏祖母所生，并且过继给另外一房，我的祖母自己所生的，除了父亲之外，还有一个小叔叔，可是他在四岁时就夭折了，因此，父亲在家里是独子。如果不是家里发生重大变故，祖母也不会让他离开，他也不会如此狠心离家。
民国九年，因为祖母有严重的气喘病，父亲要母亲回去侍候祖母，所以母亲就带着我回到溪口。毛氏夫人虽然被休掉，但是没有离开蒋家，祖母就让她住在后面的一个小房子里，因为祖母也需要一个人侍候她。母亲回去后，知道了这个隋形，为了侍候祖母方便，便与毛氏夫人轮流侍候祖母，因为祖母当时已经卧病在床，不能起身，于是母亲就把毛氏夫人接到家里来住。没想到她反而跋扈起来，把我们母子两人赶到柴房里去，在一个小小的房间内，一个犄角里养了几只猪，另一个犄角堆着稻草，我们就睡在草堆上。
我们回去以后简直是受到很大的虐待。稻草里有很多跳蚤，我常常被咬得周身都是红点，母亲是大人，还能挡得住，我年纪小，没有多久就生病了。当时父亲把我们带回乡下时曾说过一句话：“你们不要搬到大伯那里去住。”从前的老规矩，小叔可以到嫂嫂房间去，但是大伯不能到弟妹房间去，所以母亲不到大伯那儿去，不过白天走动走动是有的。
溪口沿着苕溪边上有一条街，家境好一点的人家住在上街，上街就是溪的上游，我们住在下街，屋名为丰镐房。祖父过世时，父亲才九岁，虽然大伯父已经过继给另外一房，但终究是祖父所出，而且祖母厚道善良，所以分家时还是分给他一份。我们家的财产有玉泰盐店和山坡竹林，玉泰盐店在上街，除了制造酒品外，还卖盐与米，祖母不便抛头露面去看店，便把那家店分给我大伯父，由他去经营，所以大伯父的家境一直很好。竹林生产笋及竹子，竹子可以用来做竹筏，乡下称为竹，一年可以收入四十几元，我们家有一个老长工，一直跟着祖母，我们就保留竹山，由这位老长工看管。
回溪口那一年，我实在病得很严重了，大伯母非常疼我，就把我接回她家去住。大伯父有一子一女，他的儿子大我十二岁，也是属龙的，非常疼我；他的女儿小我一岁，从小就是我的玩伴，我们一起长大，感情非常好。母亲在家侍候祖母，只要一得空，就会来看我。
