我们虽然没有能力拒绝所有的不幸和痛苦，但我们同样没有任何义务去承受任何忧伤和悲哀。人生是丰富多彩而又艰难曲折的；生活是美好而沉重的。成败荣辱、苦乐忧欢、坦途坎坷……对每个人都一样；马克·吐温说得好：“谁没有蘸着眼泪吃过面包，谁就不懂得什么叫生活！”
我经常给学员们讲：“贝多芬的一生是痛苦的，但他却咬紧牙关扼住命运的咽喉，用痛苦去铸造欢乐来奉献给世界。所以快乐起来吧，哪怕仅仅就为了——迄今为止，我们都还活着。”
