Author Description

Judith S. Beck博士是美国贝克认知行为治疗研究所主任，也是美国宾夕法尼亚大学医学院精神病学的临床心理学副教授。她著有近百篇论文和著作篇章以及若干本专著；并在美国与全球进行过数百场有关认知行为疗法的专题报告；她同时也是贝克儿童及青少年量表（Beck Youth Inventories）和人格信念问卷（Personality Belief Questionnaire）的合作研发者。Beck博士还是美国认知治疗学会的开创者之一以及前主席。

治疗“剂量”、关注水平、治疗形式以及辅助治疗
有时，患者因为治疗的“剂量”不够充足、不合适，而没能表现出足够的进步。克劳蒂娅是一个症状“丰富”的患者，在治疗师的鼓励下，她由每两周来一次改为每周来一次，结果治疗效果有了显著的提高。詹尼斯的焦虑障碍已经明显好转，因此治疗频率可以降低，以帮助他独立地应用在治疗中学到的技能，并加以练习，而不是完全依赖于治疗师。
有的患者可能是因为没有得到适宜的关注水平而产生问题。拉里是一个失业的患者，她有快速循环双相情感障碍及频繁出现的自杀观念。当她在门诊治疗时，她的状况会阶段性地恶化，她需要不时地接受住院或半住院治疗。而卡罗尔需要住院进行康复性治疗，以解决她的物质依赖情况，此后才能从门诊治疗中更多获益。
