摩天大楼群形成的山谷之间、老街的巷弄里、山手线沿线的住宅街、墓地……荒木经惟漫步在他所深爱的城市－－东京。他在途中邂逅了美女，重新体验令人怀念的昭和风情，以及未随着时代变化的孩童笑颜。这一路上，有幸福、有梦。和偶遇的人们凝视、交谈的霎时，荒木的摄影机纪录了迸发于该时空的微妙情感，随意走走如此行进之真意亦在底片感光下解构而出。“女性是最棒的，街道也是最棒的。”名照片以名言点缀的本书，正是“漫步”与“街道纪实摄影”的之作！

Author Description

荒木经惟，摄影师，当代艺术家。
荒木经惟发表过许多以性爱为题材、惊世骇俗的裸露作品，其中包括他与妻子阳子的私生活，震惊了当时的摄影界与日本社会。现在，民众爱称他为“天才ARAKI”，欧美亦尊崇他为“Gran Maestro”（大巨匠），在国际间拥有相当高的评价。
1940年出生于东京府下谷区（今东京都台东区）三之轮。
1963年自千叶大学工学院摄影印刷工学系毕业。同年，进入电通广告公司。
1964年，以《阿幸》获得第一届太阳奖。
1971年，与电通同事青木阳子结婚。荒木将两人蜜月旅行的点滴照片集结成摄影集《感伤之旅》，自费印刷了1000本出版，亦借此提出他的“摄影家宣言”。
1972年离开电通，正式以摄影师为业，开始拍摄东京街景。
1988年，成立“Aat Room”事务所。
1990年，拍摄亡妻阳子的遗体，前卫的摄影概念撼动了当代摄影界。
2008年，荒木获奥地利政府授予的科学与艺术勋章。期间，他仍不间断进行自2002年展开的“日本人的容颜”纪实摄影计划，目标拍摄日本全国各地的民众肖像。

一路上的自拍照，
以及
迎向终幕。
我刚离开电通时，每当妻子出门上班，我便扛着三脚架在外头漫无目的地晃荡，这状况持续了好一段时间。当时我成天抱着以退职金买的ASAHI PENTAX 6×7相机拍照，自称“东京阿杰”※。虽然不是因为赋闲无事而乱逛，现在回想起来，那段日子正是我拍摄东京街景的开始。我很想再像那时候一样到处走到处看，不是为了多走路健身，只是单纯地喜欢四处晃晃。
TOKYO?ARAKI
这次的“漫步东京”系列都没有使用三脚架，所使用的相机也不是徕卡（Leica），而是Mamiya7，这台机身中型却很轻巧，加上不易对焦的特性，拍出来的东西不会变成报道摄影，我尤其中意这一点，唯有这样才能将当下的感受毫无矫饰地化为照片。
还有就是，这系列依旧是采取黑白照，因为，我很期待我所拍的照片在观者的眼中将呈现什么样的颜色。在按下快门时，是我与城镇的互动合作；而一旦印制成书，就成了我与读者的互动合作。因着读者的不同，或许在某位读者眼中，整本摄影集都是亮橘色的，又或许谁觉得哪处是蓝色、哪处又是红的。无所谓吧，就让看照片的人自行认定不就好了。即使观者看到了实际的景色，也会因着当天的天气与心情而有颜色上的变化，不是吗？好比昨日看不见的色彩，今日却看见了。虽然由于不景气，可能很多人眼中映出的全是灰色而非幸福的粉红吧，哈哈！只要心情转变，看到的色彩也会跟着改变，这和书法或水墨画的道理是一样的。
黑白照片能让人感受到内心的色彩，我曾把“黑白照”读做“黑白梦[1]”，就是想对大家说，请恣意做自己的东京梦吧！
至于为什么我想拍东京呢？因为对我来说，东京就是子宫；并不是干枯的荒漠，而是濡湿且温暖的，所以能让人卸下防卫，感到无比的安心。东京是我的home ground（地盘），数年来，我往来于伦敦、巴黎、柏林、罗马，走过形形色色的街头，当中最出色的，正是东京。因此我怀抱着与东京殉情的心情，想拍下属于我自己的东京。其实相对的，我所拍下的照片也会不时向我诉说着属于它自己的东京啊。
不过意外的是，我所走过的街道并不算多，每每走着走着便下意识走向熟悉的地点，真是不可思议，即使我也隐约觉得这街景似曾相识。其实我内心并不曾有过改天重游旧地的念头，通常只想着一路走下去，因为同一条道路，去程与回程的风景是不一样的，对吧？随着时间、天候的不同，走在道路的右侧还是左侧，都有着不同的风貌，这就是散步的乐趣所在吧。散步的哲学，其实与捉摸女人心的道理是相同的哦，哈哈！
这次拍摄这一系列，我通常是走在巷弄或大马路的正中央一带，也就是平日人们所走的路线，并不是什么洋溢着文学气息的胜地。说到底，只要是自己踏进去的路，不就是你自己的散步道吗？而且这么一来，从自身的立场来看，每趟“散步”也形同一部“私小说”[2]了。
还有就是，这次拍到了久违的纯真照片，真是太完美了，一切都在我的预期之中，最开心的是，我在这系列当中并没有拍下名作。我呀，会拍下名作都是在无意识间按下快门的，那是摄影之神赐予我的某样东西。话说回来，我将这次的系列照从头到尾看过一遍，发现很多都是在下雨天拍的。嗯，大概是天空在对我说，雨天散步是最美的吧。
出门散步，
绝对不能一人独行。
即使不是约会，记得找个朋友结伴同行，带着狗儿也行。要是独自一人散步去，会成了一趟“悟道之旅”，不由得便思考起人生呀生死之类的事，然后愈想愈觉得孤独，要是变成那样就糟了，所以一定要有个防止自己钻进牛角尖的伙伴在身旁才行。我最推荐带着相机，邀女友去散步拍照，因为，散步一定要有爱呀！
只要继续前进，就会有邂逅，就能与他人的人生交错，而从那瞬间的交会之际，又将萌生爱。所以走在街道上，就是走在人心上，多么令人期待呀！不知道这趟路走下去，将与多少人，将与什么样的人，在什么样的因缘际会下邂逅？之后又将有什么样的发展呢？这就是散步的精髓。
不必勉强通过摄影试图表达什么，因为城镇与巷道都清楚地说明了一切。况且照片这种东西，就是要拍得平凡无奇才有韵味。不必考虑太多，凭直觉按下快门就对了，记得一定要随兴之所至，因为摄影机会好好地帮我们看着，所以没问题的。摄影的最高境界，不就是这么回事吗？只不过，以数码相机随手拍下的不算哦。必须先让被摄体的影像烙印至底片上再显像出来，这个过程是绝对不可省略的；换句话说，一定要经历这段“魔爱”互动的缓冲，这是为了让摄影师捕捉与被摄体之间的“逢魔时刻”[3]，唯有留出这段空档让双方呼应吐息，摄影师才得以看见被摄体真正的内在。
还有一个重点就是，要每日不辍地持续拍摄。对我而言，摄影即人生，所以每天拍照是如呼吸般再自然不过的事。
说得骄傲一点，并不是摄影师拍下时代，而是时代催促着摄影师按下快门。摄影师正面承受时代所发出的耀眼光芒，而时代也对此有所响应，所谓摄影正是这般双方相互的应答。与女性的相处也是如此，单方强求是行不通的；对方迎面送来的气息，自己必须将其深深吸入，再吐息响应给对方，必须有着这样的关系才行。一张摄影作品的好坏，不在于使用多高级的镜头，或光影表现技术多好，重要的是摄影师与被摄体双方的关系如何。比起“计算机影像处理”，当然是“人脑影像处理”压倒性获胜，因为啊，若只是为了单纯地拍照，没必要让自己变得这么孤独吧？我一直是这么认为的，也会继续贯彻这个“指想”。
总而言之，我有生之年都会一直不断拍下去的！

[2]私小说，二十世纪日本文学的一种特有体裁，有别于纯正的本格小说，采取自我暴露的叙述方式，为写实主义的一个分支，亦为日本近代文学的主流。但因体裁过于封闭，难有突破性发展，近年有没落的趋势。
[3]“逢魔刻”（おうまがとき）即黄昏时分，约傍晚六点前后。传说此时即将入夜，魑魅魍魉纷纷出来活动，因此最容易遇上一些难以常理解释的事。
[4] “指想”为作者的自创词汇，日语读音同“思想”（しそう）。他曾说“摄影师是动手指的思想家＝指想家”，意指以手指按下快门来思考。
