日和手帖专访叶锦添：

“我慢慢开始对服装产生了一种新的理解，就是服装本身可以变成人的一种表达自我，沟通内在精神的方法，这种方法建立一种在空间里面的磁场，会吸引不同的背景、喜好、性格的人群。而现代的服装因为意识形态变得复杂，人的交流增强，所有这些混合的元素产生了一个新的维度，其实现在的衣服也是一个非常有趣的世界。”衣服对叶锦添来说是一种精神性，就像道袍一样，会显示自己的精神状态。“做厨师的有厨师的衣服，在做工人的有工人的衣服，我现在穿的衣服就等于是我在做艺术的时候的一种工作服。通过这种简单透明隐形的衣服，我会看到更活泼的世界。叶锦添喜欢逛Vintage，原因是在于在这个店里面他可以看到不同时间的痕迹，在过去的人曾经穿过的衣服上面，可以看到那个年代那个时间生活的细节。

如果以穿着来说，我会比较喜欢现在的衣服，因为比较多样化。比如制服就是一个很有趣的东西，因为制服会把你所有的精神状态收纳于一个形式里面，当你穿着这件衣服就代表了这个精神状态。
