根据近代心理进化学理论，为了繁衍后代，异性之间本能地会产生～种吸引力。而在中国古代，则认为男性主阳，女性主阴，为了阴阳的平衡、协调，人就会不自觉地寻找和自己不同属性的另一半。不论是哪种理论，都证明了异性相吸。也正是由于这个效应，人才会产生爱情。
虽然说异性相吸，但是并非所有的异性都会擦出爱火，这是因为爱情产生的条件的重点并非是在“异性”而是在“相吸”——相互的吸引才是爱情产生的必要条件。那么两个人之所以互相吸引的原因又在哪里呢？恋爱心理学的研究表明，双方吸引的因素主要有：对方的条件是否符合自己的标准、对方对自己是否表现出好感、周围环境的影响，以及自己对自己作出的评估。可能你会好奇最后一项“对自己的评估”究竟是如何影响彼此之间吸引力的呢？
