Book Abstract

在游玩治疗系统中，作者所推行最主要的治疗方式，是帮助孩子学习到一种新奇而有效的方法，那就是在不影响他人需求的情况下，来满足自身的需求。这些有行为问题或是情绪困扰的孩子，一般都无法满足自身的需求或是无法在社交中被认同。解决这个问题的根本方法，是孩子本身及治疗者必须确认孩子的需求，清楚知道这些需求无法满足的主要原因，然后再找出一个有效且可以操作的新方法，让孩子可以满足这些需求。而利用心像引导可以在许多层面上帮助这个过程的进行。这种治疗与其他许多的放松治疗或是催眠治疗有着极为相似之处，你可以将这种治疗放在放松治疗与催眠治疗的中间。在作者所使用的方法里。这种治疗包括将孩子带人一个精神放松的状态，针对孩子无法满足的需求，利用视觉心像直接或间接来解决问题。对于游玩治疗而言，心像引导有两个优点，一个是可以用来帮助孩子赢得对于自己身体与感觉的支配，另一个则是可以借由孩子的想像力。在游戏室制造一个假定的生活情境，以增大治疗的结果，同时也让孩子在治疗者的支持下，练习自己新学到的技巧。换句话说，心像引导可以用来创造一个细致的角色扮演游戏。虽然后者的作用有着很大的功效，但本文对于心像引导的讨论，则是将焦点放在如何使用这个方法来扩大对自己的掌控上。步骤说明心像引导可以在游玩治疗的过程中介入，但是孩子必须能够了解一些简单的序列引导，并且愿意在疗程中放松身心。虽然这个治疗的最主要目的是提供孩子对于控制能力的增加，然而治疗的初期依然需要放弃一些控制权给治疗者，因为治疗者必须指导孩子进行这个治疗。治疗者将这个治疗带入疗程中的方法有许多种，年纪较小的孩子一般都喜欢做一趟想象的旅行，而较大的孩子一般都喜欢包括自我催眠在内的个人控制治疗技巧。
