Book Abstract

使有可借鉴的地方，也很难在自身逻辑体系中再增添对方的可取之处。因此，对于一个整理产权理论发展历程的工作来说，最为忌讳的就是站在某一学派的方法论或者认识论的视角上来评价和认识其他理论，特别是其所依据的学派本身也是考察的内容的时候，等于预先制定了正确和错误的评判结果，这不利于认识理论自身的缺陷和其他学派的可取之处。
第四，根据理论本身的逻辑和实践检验来评判各个理论的优缺点。“一种理论的正确与否不能单纯地通过实践检验得到证明，理论的谬误只能通过对理论本身的逻辑批判来揭示、来克服”①。应该说，这种评价方式可以尽可能地减少由作者知识背景或者个人偏好所带来的影响，更多地集中在理论本身的探讨上。因此，在解读文献时，笔者将会重点分析各个理论的逻辑线索和实践的检验结果。

本书所研究的产权理论文献跨度时间较大，从古希腊的柏拉图到新制度经济学，包含了多位对产权理论形成和发展有重大影响的思想巨匠，涉猎文献众多，而这些文献所处的时间和历史背景差异较大，因此有必要分期进行考察。当然这种分期仅仅是出于研究历史的方便，并不是说产权理论存在着截然不同的历史突变。和其他的经济思想一样，产权理论的发展是一个潜移默化的过程，每一位学者都在为产权理论的发展和完善做出了一些贡献，很难完全割裂地看待某一时期的产权理论。
借鉴目前经济思想史和社会史的划分方法，本书将产权理论文献分为产权理论萌芽时期（公元前4世纪至公元6世纪）、产权理论探索时期（公元6-17世纪）、产权理论系统化时期（公元17-19世纪末20世纪初）、产权理论成熟时期（公元20世纪初至今）。
