Book Abstract

也就是说，积极心理学关注愉快的生活、投入的生活、有意义的生活。愉快的生活、投入的生活、有意义的生活，代表着幸福的三个取向。例如，Peterson等人（2005）做了一个有趣的研究，他们调查了845个成人，发现以上三个取向都与生活满意度相关。他们还发现，在幸福的三个取向上得分都很低的人，生活满意度也很低。Park等人（2009）调查了27个国家的24836人，也有类似的发现。他们还发现，同愉快取向相比，投入取向、意义取向与生活满意度的相关性更强。
作为一个临床领域，积极心理学旨在增进幸福，而不是减轻痛苦。因此，积极心理学是对传统临床心理学的补充，而非代替。本章的焦点是幸福积极心理学。后面几章的重点是积极特质和人际关系。本章首先讨论积极情绪、积极情感和消极情感，然后讨论幸福的本质和测量方法，最后介绍对幸福之原因和结果的研究有何发现。
积极情绪
现代积极心理学创始人Martin Seligman教授（2002）在《真实的幸福》（Authentic Happiness）一书中把积极情绪分成三类：与过去有关的、与现在有关的和与未来有关的。与未来有关的积极情绪包括乐观、希望、信心、信仰和信任。第三章会详细讨论其中的乐观和希望。与过去有关的积极情绪主要包括满意、满足、充实、骄傲和安详。与现在有关的积极情绪可以分成两类：即时的快感和长久的欣慰。快感包括生理上的快感和精神上的快感。生理上的快感来自感官，性、沁人的香气、可口的美食引起的感受就属于这一类。对比之下，精神上的快感来自更复杂的活动，包括飘飘欲仙、欢欣鼓舞、心满意足、心醉神迷、热情洋溢等感受。欣慰和快感的区别在于，欣慰要有沉浸，而沉浸来自全神贯注地从事那些令人沉浸其中的活动（比如赛船、授课和助人），这些活动通常需要动用个人独有的特征优势。特征优势指最突出的优势，第二章会详细讨论到。
幸福研究和积极情绪研究有个关键任务，那就是找到一个简便方法确定情绪是积极的还是消极的。下面我们来谈谈这个话题。
积极情感和消极情感
