二、验证的背景：客观性的保障
验证的背景：是把证据拿来验证假设的研究阶段。
科学的方法是通过将错误降低到最小，提出可靠的归纳等方法来收集和解释证据的一般的程序集合。心理学被认为是一门在某种程度上遵循科学方法建立规则的科学。
（一）观察者偏见和操作定义
1．观察者偏见：是由于观察者个人的动机和预期导致的错误。通常，人们看见的、听到的只是他们所预期的，而不是事实的本来面目。
2．补救措施——消除观察者偏见
（1）标准化
标准化意味着在数据的收集阶段使用统一的、一致的程序。测验或实验条件的所有特征应该充分标准化以便所有研究的参与者经历完全一样的实验情境。标准化意味着以同样的方式来提出问题，以事先建立的规则来量化反应，将结果打印或记录下来以确保在时间、地点，以及不同的被试间和研究者间的可比性。观察本身也必须标准化。
（2）操作性定义
操作性定义是以测量心理现象或决定它存在的特定的操作或程序来下定义，在一个实验内使含义标准化。一个实验中的所有变量必须给予操作性定义。
①变量：在量或质上变化的因素。
②自变量：实验方法中，其值相对于情境中其他变量而言独立自由变化的刺激条件称为自变量。在非实验方法中为预测变量。
③因变量：在实验方法中，变动的结果的变量被称为因变量，因变量依赖于刺激条件的变化。在非实验方法中为被预测的变量。
（二）实验法：另一个可选择的解释和控制的必要
1．定义
实验法：操作一个自变量来观察其在因变量上产生的效果的方法。其目的在于明确一种强烈的因果关系，即一个变量对另一个变量有影响。
