Content Description

诊断病理学又称外科病理学是指临床上由于诊断和治疗的需要，对取自病人活体内的病变组织、细胞，进行病理诊断的一门医疗实践科学。作为一个学科，它是病理学的一个分支，它的研究对象是患者，目的是为了确诊和治疗疾病，同时也有提供判定疗效和预后信息的作用。

Author Description

刘彤华，（1929-），江苏无锡人，1953年毕业于上海圣约翰大学医学院。毕业后就一直从事病理学的医疗、教学、科研工作，1999年当选为中国工程院院士。1985-1995年任北京协和医院病理科主任，现任北京协和医院病理科教授。曾任多届《中华病理学杂志》编委、副主编及名誉主编，《诊断病理学杂志》名誉主编，中华医学会病理学分会常务委员，国际病理学会中国地区分会司库，《国际外科病理学杂志》编委，多届《中华医学杂志》中文版及英文版编委。
刘彤华院士从事病理诊断工作至今已近60年，有极其丰富的临床经验和高深的学术造诣，诊断正确率高，深得临床医师和患者的信任。其科研工作紧密联系临床实践，发表论文240余篇。近三十年来带领科研组建立了五株人胰腺癌细胞系，重点研究胰腺癌的形态、分子诊断、细胞生物学及分子生物学特点，曾获得卫生部科技进步二等奖2次（1985年及1993年）以及国家科技进步二等奖1次（1995年）。20世纪末至21世纪初一直进行胰腺癌实验性基因治疗的研究，在抑制胰腺癌生长方面，在细胞体外生长及裸鼠体内生长水平上均获得了明显效果。在内分泌肿瘤的分子生物学和分子遗传学研究方面也做出了重要贡献。刘彤华院士始终站在学科发展前沿，引领病理学科的发展。21世纪的临床医学进入个性化医疗时代，肿瘤治疗也进入靶向治疗时代，刘彤华院士率先在国内提出了靶向治疗需要靶向诊断的概念，建立了第一个分子病理遗传实验室，拓展了病理学的发展方向，提升了病理医生在疾病诊治过程中的地位。在病理教学50余年的工作中，已培养40余名硕士生、博士生和博士后及，（量进修生，她对学生严格要求、细心呵护、精心指导，为中国病理学界培养了一大批人才。
1988年获卫生部有突出贡献的专家称号：1991年获政府特殊津贴；1993年被评为中国医学科学院24位名医之一：1995年获国家教委颁发的“全国优秀教师奖章”；2003年获首都劳动奖章；2010年获北京医学会医学成就奖；2011年获中华医学会病理学分会终身成就奖。

Book Abstract

支气管和肺的恶性上皮性肿瘤，种类繁多，形态多样，在病理诊断上，时有困难。自20世纪中期以来，肺癌的发病率在多数国家呈明显上升趋势，且逐年不断增高，已成为全世界最常见、最致命的癌症之一。近30多年来，我国随着现代工业化的发展及吸烟人口的增多，和许多国家一样，肺癌的发病率亦明显上升。在上海、北京、天津及江苏、辽宁等省的大城市，肺癌的发病率和（或）死亡率占各种恶性肿瘤的首位。因此，对肺癌致病因素、发病机制、组织发生、组织学分类及其生物学特性等基础理论的研究，以及对肺癌的早期诊断和治疗，日益受到我国病理学家和临床学家的重视。对肺癌进行治疗和预后的判断上，一个既能反映其组织发生和分化表型，又能显示其组织形态特征和生物学行为的分类，是十分需要的。
当前，随着科学技术的发展，对肿瘤的诊断手段日益增多，并不断发展，包括先进的CT、PET、MRI影像学诊断、核素检查、血清学诊断及基因诊断等，但均难以准确无误地判定其良、恶性，并予以肿瘤本质的命名。
众所周知，对各种肿瘤包括肺肿瘤的正确治疗，首先取决于对肿瘤的正确诊断。在当前各种诊断手段中，最直观（肉眼、光学显微镜、电子显微镜观察）、最可靠的仍然是建立在病理形态学基础上的病理学诊断。近20多年来，随着常规病理技术的进步，以及免疫组织化学、电子显微镜、流式细胞仪及分子生物学技术在国内日益广泛地应用，病理学诊断已成为诊断各种肺肿瘤特别是肺癌的主要手段。在目前应用最广泛、令患者经济负担最轻的诊断手段，还是常规的石蜡切片、HE染色、用光学显微镜观察的组织病理学，有时辅以必要的免疫组化染色。对绝大多数病例来说，完全可以确定其病理诊断。有的借助电子显微镜观察，亦可明确其病理诊断。现以肺癌为重点，对其与病理诊断有关的几个问题简介如下。

Introduction

本书自2006年再版（第2版）以来，转眼又过去了6年时间，在这6年中病理学从形态到分子水平均有了很大的发展。在日常病理诊断工作中，我们经常会遇到一些以往从来没有见过的疑难病变，目前只能借助国际病理专家及国内病理专家的知识和经验来帮助我们解决某些疑难病理诊断。在第3版中，我们尽可能地增加了新的内容以期望能够帮助医院病理工作者解决工作中的难题，但由于编者的知识有限，还有许多问题有待“时间”来认识。
本书多数编委都是病理学界的资深教授，在他（她）们繁忙的工作之余仍能为本书辛苦付出、添光增彩，在此我代表个人和几位副主编向他（她）们表示最衷心的感谢并致以最崇高的敬意。
