《阿凡提幽默故事》系列共7册，是由上海美术电影制片厂官方授权，精选了7个集中体现阿凡提幽默诙谐的故事。
《阿凡提幽默故事1神医》阿凡提手牵毛驴来到热闹的市集，他说他的毛驴是专治疑难杂症的神医，毛驴果然帮助牙医拔掉了病人的牙齿，还给肥胖症患者开具了药方。一个傲慢的星象家看不起阿凡提和毛驴，要求毛驴开药方让自己看见星星，不然就让国王砍掉阿凡提的头。这可难不倒阿凡提，他不仅让星象家看见了星星，还好好地捉弄了他一番。
《阿凡提幽默故事2比智慧》愚蠢的国王梦见自己被百姓嘲笑，醒后为证明自己是世界上聪明的人，出了三道难题，并下诏书说能全部答对者，将得黄金万两，牛羊无数。人们纷纷前去答题，可都被轰出了皇宫。阿凡提代表百姓前去答题，国王百般刁难，聪明的阿凡提都回答得滴水不漏。国王请阿凡提吃饭，心里想着把阿凡提灌醉然后派人暗杀他，阿凡提能否躲过一劫？
《阿凡提幽默故事3偷东西的驴》阿凡提和一帮商人在沙漠里饮休息，深夜他们熟睡后，贼人悄悄偷走了商人的骆驼和阿凡提的毛驴。通过掉在地上的斧头，阿凡提得知原来贼人竟然是县官。阿凡提决定好好教训一下县官，他打死了县官的恶狗，想办法让商人带走了骆驼，又将县官丢下了水井。
《阿凡提幽默故事4吝啬鬼》财主巴依和妻子是一对吝啬鬼。巴依出门办事遇到狼，长工库尔班用猎枪打死了狼，救了巴依。不想巴依却反过来责怪库尔班为什么不用棍子打，而用枪打破了狼皮，还要扣库尔班的工钱。阿凡提见状，决定好好惩罚一番巴依和他妻子，用计剃掉了巴依的头发、眉毛和胡子，还让巴依乖乖掏钱给库尔班造房子。
《阿凡提幽默故事5狩猎记》刁蛮地王子和随从一起出城打猎，阿凡提的毛驴不小心碰撞了王子的马，王子大怒，要阿凡提随他们去打猎，准备好好捉弄阿凡提一番。王子让阿凡提背衣服，没想到衣服全挂在了树枝上，让阿凡提去小屋找水，却被阿凡提耍得团团转。在山洞里躲雨的阿凡提假称看到了天国花园，贪心的王子也想去，却被山羊顶了个大马趴。
《阿凡提幽默故事6寻开心》残暴的国王对什么事都提不起兴趣，终日郁郁寡欢。看见阿凡提快乐地做染坊生意，他和左右大臣商议想出诡计，想将阿凡提也变成愁眉不展的人。阿凡提摇身变作鞋匠，依旧很开心。国王再次刁难。阿凡提做了木匠，依然很开心。国王和大臣们又找到了阿凡提，问他为什么这么开心。阿凡提说这是一个秘密，只能告诉穷苦的老百姓。国王说自己也是穷人，阿凡提告诉他是真主让自己这么开心，真主就在古城的废墟里。晚上，国王和大臣们来到了古城寻找真主，却被吓得不轻。来到城门，三人被阻挡在门外，当他们被捉弄得苦不堪言时，全城百姓乐开了花。
《阿凡提幽默故事7宝驴》税务官为了娶到钦差大臣的女儿，向老百姓征收五花八门地税，老百姓苦不堪言。阿凡提在毛驴身上拍了几下，毛驴居然拉出了金币。税务官见状，要阿凡提把毛驴借给他，阿凡提决定把毛驴借给他一天。但是有一个条件，就是今天由阿凡提来收税。阿凡提把收来的税全部归还给了百姓。毛驴当然拉不出金币，贪财的税务官是被阿凡提捉弄了。
