《西便制》是一部所有韩国人都知道的韩国经典小说，书中散发的浓浓乡愁指引在异乡漂泊的人们回家的路。《西便制》是李清俊1976年首次发表于《根深之树》的文学作品，也是收录到《南道人》中的短篇小说。《西便制》的故事是这样的：没有固定职业、四处漂泊的盘索里艺人，为了将自己的女儿拴在身边，弄瞎了她的双眼。在女儿睡觉的时候，在她的眼睛里滴入了盐酸水。据说这么做可以让人注入眼睛的灵气转移到耳朵和嗓音上，声音就会不同凡响。为了美妙的歌声，故意弄瞎双眼，使得作品充满了悲剧色彩。

Content Description

《西便制》由李清俊编著。
东户儿时，流浪歌手俞本来到村里，爱上了他那寡居的母亲。俞本和他的养女松华以及东户母子重新组成了一个家庭。不久，东户的母亲去世，俞本教松华学潘索里音乐（一种朝鲜民歌），还教会东户击鼓。孩子们长大后，成了一对潘索里歌手和鼓手。东户和俞本父女四处漂泊，受尽人间苦难。
受西方文化的冲击，欣赏潘索里音乐的人越来越少。心灰意冷的东户被迫离家出走，松华很伤心。为了不让潘索里失传，俞本弄瞎了松华的双眼，以为这样就可以使松华潜心潘索里表演。然而，俞本死后，等待松华的是更加悲惨和孤独的生活。

Author Description

李清俊，1939年生于韩国全罗南道长兴郡，1966年毕业于国立首尔大学文理学院德语系。曾获《思想界》杂志新人文学奖、第2届李箱文学奖、第12届东仁文学奖、大韩民国文学奖、怡山文学奖、第一届21世纪文学奖。1999年至今担任顺天大学文艺创作系客座教授。主要代表作有《西便制》《你们的天国》《白痴和傻子》等。他的作品已被泽为中、英、法、德、日等语种，在世界各地出版。

Book Abstract

西便制 ——南道人1 从黄昏时分开始，女人就一直在引吭高歌，完全忘记了咽喉疼痛。男人不停击打着鼓点，似乎一直在克制着因女人的唱声勾起的某种预感产生的冲动。不停歌唱的女人，默默击鼓的男人，两人的额头都渗出了艰辛的汗珠。
全罗道宝城邑外一个清幽的路口酒店，左面，远远地可以俯瞰到邑内的一些村落；右面，攒集多年的墓地一直迫近路边。这是一个陡坡上的公共墓地。有一条幽静的山路从公共墓地之间穿过，邻近的人们将坡地称之为索里坡。哭声和丧舆声经常回响在过往的墓地山路，称为索里坡可说是实至名归。索里坡公共墓地的山路路口有一家不大的茅屋酒店，蒙着灰白的尘土，像倒扣着的蚌壳，人们都叫它索里坡酒店。守着索里坡的入口，叫它索里坡酒店也顺理成章。不知就里的人，可能估想到这儿也就罢了，其实这个索里坡和索里坡酒店另有来历，耳聪目明的邑内人大体上都知道。即使不是宝城的人，只要来过这家索里坡酒店，做过一宿的酒客，也不难了解到。

因为这名没有男人独自一人守着酒店的女子的南道唱声，无论谁听了都会觉得不同寻常。
这天晚上的这位客人好像同样领悟到了这一点。
不，他原本就不是偶然走进这家酒店的。实际上他当初从邑内一家小旅店主人那里听到索里坡的故事时就已经有了明确的预感。他等不及再听后话，便径直动身追随自己的预感而来。
酒店里果然有女人不同凡响的唱声，从黄昏时开始一直到深夜都不知疲倦的唱声。索里坡的来历背后隐藏着年近三十的女人底气十足、柔美圆润的南道唱声。
不过，从表情上看，听着女人的歌唱，男人找寻酒店时怀着的预感还是没有完全得到满足。那歌声，越听反而越会被拖入到更加难以承受的某种深深的预感中。
屋里虽然摆着酒桌，但他几乎对酒毫不上心，魂儿早就被唱声勾走了。女人唱完了《春香歌》的几个唱段，男子干脆把酒桌推到一边，自告奋勇敲起了鼓点。
“好啊，真好……来，喝口酒润润嗓子再……” 女人唱完一个唱段后，他才勉强想起什么似的，递上一杯让她润润嗓子，然后便敦促女人演唱下一首。
可过了一会儿，就在女人婉转圆润地唱完《水宫歌》的一个唱段后，男人好像终于忍不住了，再次把润喉的酒杯递过去，小心翼翼地问道： “嗯……那个，你大致是从什么时候开始让你的唱声埋没在这种地方的？” “……” 也许是女人没能马上领会出男子问话的用意吧，她平静地把目光投向男人，半晌没有说话。
“我听说人们把这条山路叫作索里坡，把你们的酒店称作索里坡酒店，所以才来的。难道这个地方的人起这种名字不是因为你的唱声？” “……” 男人又重复了一遍问话，女人这次仍然没有应答。
不过，看来女人这次的沉默并不是因为没有听懂男人的意思。女人再一次把目光投向男人，久久地凝视着。然后，缓缓地摇摇头，好像在揣摩男人的内心。
“那么……那么，你是说你并不是这个索里坡酒店的第一个主人？在你之前这里还有唱声艺人来着？” 像是迫近了自己的预感，男人连续用急促的语调追问。
“莫非你的唱声，就是说，在那之前那些名称另有’ 来历？” 女人这才点点头。然后好像被某种痛苦的思绪所袭扰，脸色逐渐暗淡下来，开始时断时续地开了口。
“不错。这个山冈也好，酒店也好，名字都和我的唱声没有瓜葛。真正的唱声艺人另有其人。” “那人是谁？就是说在你之前的唱声艺人是谁？ ” “坟墓的主人。” “坟墓？”
