《八年官司》：
周五，这是二〇〇四年十月初的一个周末。在山北市质量技术监督局特种设备处十二楼的办公室里，王明德正一脸沉重地坐在办公桌前，紧盯着桌上的电脑屏幕。他的右手轻轻地握着鼠标，左臂撑在办公桌上，左手的食指和中指夹着一支香烟，左手的拇指靠在左脸颊上。似乎要遮住从左边射过来的光亮。黑灰色的烟灰已经好长了，但他浑然不知，两眼一眨不眨地紧盯着屏幕，似乎要把屏幕看穿。
此时，柔和的夕阳透过办公室宽大的窗户散射在他国字型的脸上，明暗变化的光线将他的脸部曲线表现得层次分明。紧锁的剑眉、凝重的双眸、挺拔的鼻梁、刀刻的脸颊，透着一股军人的英武之气。
就这样，过了好长时间。终于，他抬起了头，顺手将烟灰弹掉，然后将烟凑到嘴上深深地吸了一口，又将一口白灰色的烟雾喷向空中。
霎时，烟雾在空中弥漫开来，空气中充满了一股烟草的难闻气味。
据说吸烟的人是不会感到有什么不适的，不吸烟的人可不喜欢这呛人的味道。
在离他不远的地方坐着一位二十四五岁的姑娘，叫张晓丹，每每在他吐烟的时候，她就会用手来回扇几下，借以驱散飘来的烟雾。

“唁！没事，我也就是这么随便一说，是不是有什么心事啊？”小张一边说着一边站起来，走到王明德的跟前诡秘地一笑：“大处长，是不是和夫人吵架了？不许撒谎！老实交代！”此时，王明德抬起头，挺直了身子笑道：“你想什么呢？怎么不想好啊？”“想好？”小张睁大了眼故意显得很突兀的样子，然后头一仰闭起眼睛故作思索道：“让我想想，这次想个好的。”小张一边说着还一边把握笔的右手在空中画了一圈，突然，手向下一甩，睁开双眼，惊讶地说道：“对了，你中了五百万！”说完又顿了顿，继续调侃道：“是不是现在不知道该怎么花了？嘿嘿嘿……”姑娘开心地笑着，显然她对自己编造的这个理由也不相信，只是逗乐而已。
王明德哈哈地笑着说道：“要是那样，我给你二百五十万。”“去！谁要你的二百五十万，这个二百五还是留着你自己用吧。”小张反应极快地回应了一句。
王明德：“别，要是真有这二百五我还真要。唉——哪有这样的好事啊。还不是为了买房子的事吗，烦死了！”小张：“买房子是好事啊，有什么可烦的，我想烦还捞不着呢！”王明德：“你一个小丫头片子知道什么呀，岂不知祸福相倚的道理。”“少来这套啊！谁是小丫头片子？”小张蹙起眉故意一脸不乐地说道。
王明德哈哈地大笑着说道：“怎么，你不是啊？”“不是，以后不许这么叫！”小张脖子一挺，眼睛一瞪，撒娇似的说道。
王明德再一次哈哈地大笑起来：“好好好，以后不叫，叫小张老师，行了吧。”“嘿嘿，这还差不多。”说完，小张又问道：“房子不是已经交了吗，怎么还烦啊？”王明德：“唉！是通知交房了，可光延期不算，还六十四下不合适，根本没法住。我们大部分业主都没有收。”小张：“哦，是这样。让他们赔偿违约金啊！你们没找开发商？”王明德：“找了！找过好几次。他们太不讲理了，没用！”小张：“上电视啊！给他们曝光。”王明德：“也报道过，没用。现在这人都疲沓了，不知道什么叫不要脸了。再说，电视报道也只能是给他们曝曝光，揭揭他们的丑行，可对那些黑了心的不知羞耻的开发商起不了多大作用，解决不了实际问题。”小张：“这倒也是，不行，就上法院告他们去。
”王明德：“也只能这样了。这不，我们请了个律师，已经立案了，正跟他们打官司呢。”小张：“进展怎么样？”王明德：“没什么进展，两个月前就立案了，到现在一点音信也没有。”小张：“你没问问律师？”王明德：“问过了。他今天约了法官，说要和我们见见面。”王明德说完，看看电脑右下方的时钟继续说道：“快五点了，该下班了，不和你说了，我先走一步，晚上七点请他们吃饭。”小张：“这才几点啊，急什么啊！”“我请客，必须早到。现在道路这么拥堵，走晚了堵在路上就麻烦了。”王明德一边说着一边麻利地关掉电脑，然后将散落在桌上的本子、笔之类的物件一股脑地装进包里，夹起包，冲小张笑笑：“我先走了，麻烦你再坚持一会儿。”说完，便匆匆离开了房间。
