Author Description

张伟劼，1982年生于江苏南通，南京大学西班牙语语言文学硕士，曾先后赴西班牙和墨西哥访问进修，现任教于南京大学西班牙语系。长期为《东方早报?上海书评》、《经济观察报》、《文汇读书周报》、《时代周报》等刊物撰写书评杂文。在《经济观察报》开设有专栏“特诺奇蒂特兰断想”。主要译作有：《我相信》、《墨西哥的五个太阳》、《燃烧的原野》、《西班牙不是个神话》、《镜子：照出你看不见的世界史》。

《03 帝国的遗产》：

西班牙语是彩色的。不止有西班牙的西班牙语，还有墨西哥的西班牙语、阿根廷的西班牙语、秘鲁的西班牙语……尽管尚未达到无法相互沟通的地步，它们之间的差异甫一听便知。然而语言的“颜色”往往被赋予了更复杂的意义。夸耀自己家乡的西班牙语最“正统”的西班牙人，一定会招致拉美人强烈的反驳或是嘲弄——他们断然不会忘记美洲遭西班牙劫掠的历史。在一些拉美左翼知识分子看来，西班牙政府推广本国“纯正”西班牙语的活动甚至是带有新殖民主义色彩的。而西班牙人也担心老祖宗传下来的语言会被大洋彼岸的混血民族糟蹋掉，像拉丁语那样分崩离析为多种难以互相交流的方言，那个久负盛名和骂名的皇家语言学院一直在坚定地捍卫语言的纯洁与统一。西班牙人的努力有目共睹：在国内学西语的学生，多半是讲标准的西式西语的，发“ce”音时，看那舌头往两齿间一伸便知。

我还了解到，古巴政府于2006 年设立了针对中国中西部地区应届高中毕业生的奖学金项目，提供到古巴学习西班牙语的机会。目前，在古巴的中国留学生已有数千人。他们学到的西班牙语，自然是带有浓烈加勒比风味的古巴西语。这个海岛上通用的西班牙语在语音、语调和用词方面都算独树一帜。试想一个讲西式西语的中国学生和一个讲古式西语的中国学生碰到一起，他们会不会为谁的西语更“正宗”而争相抬杠呢？

墨西哥学者安东尼奥·阿拉托雷在他趣味盎然的名作《西班牙语的1001 年》一书中回顾了西班牙语的演变史。“语言向来是帝国的伴侣”。1492 年，在史上第一部西班牙语语法的序言里，该书作者、西班牙人文学者安东尼奥·德·内布里哈（Antonio de Nebrija，1441 ～ 1522）写下了这句名言。这部语法的诞生同时笼罩着文艺复兴和帝国伟业的光芒。正是在1492 年，西班牙天主教双王收复了穆斯林在伊比利亚半岛上的最后一个据点；也是在这一年，哥伦布扬帆远去，“发现”美洲。在哥伦布的捷报传来之前，内布里哈已经预见到，将来会有许多野蛮的民族被强大的西班牙帝国征服。战败的野蛮人必要学习帝国的语言，臣服帝国的法律，就像当年的蛮族被古罗马军团打败，习拉丁语而同化为罗马帝国的臣民一样。为此，有必要制定卡斯蒂利亚语——即西班牙语的规则，树立正确使用的典范，让臣服者学有所依。果然，帝国的远征军所向披靡，以惊人的速度把十字架插到了最遥远的海岛。西班牙语播散在日不落帝国的各个角落。

自序
出书，就得有篇序。按理我应该找一个有名的朋友或师长来给此书作序，并不愁找不到人，但我想，逼着人家硬着头皮把书稿看完，再琢磨出一篇文章，实在是耗费好多时间和精力的事。无论如何，对这部书稿最了解的，还是我自己。所以，还是由张伟劼来写吧。
我是进了大学后才开始学习西班牙语的。在许多人看来，这是个“小语种”，只在西班牙使用，而西班牙只是欧陆边缘的一个没落小国，与中国能有多大关系？我们家的人学外语的历史是这样的：我奶奶在小学里学过日语。当时抗日战争激战正酣，我的家乡沦为敌占区。我奶奶至今依稀记得“杀哟那拉”。我姑妈中学时学过俄语。当时前苏联是新中国为数不多的几个朋友之一。我姑妈至今一个俄文单词也回忆不起来了。我爸爸中学时学过英语。当时前苏联已经和中国翻了脸。我爸爸至今只记得“Long live Chairman Mao ！”。我中学时学了英语，在南京大学学了西班牙语，然后留校任教，从此以西班牙语——这西班牙帝国的遗产为生。
语言的学习者在深入学习的同时，总会慢慢意识到，一门语言及其所维系的文化是内容丰富的。我的工作也是内容丰富的：教书、读书、译书，以及撰写为了让人看不懂的学术文章和为了让人能看懂的、如本书中的文章那样的文章。在学界中的一些人看来，我是没有专业的——所谓“西班牙语语言文学”，实在是一个过于宽泛的概念。我当然更不好意思说自己是哪个问题的专家。按照学术分工细化完善的趋势，将来一定会有越来越多的人从事西班牙语各个国家政治经济国防外交文学艺术体育卫生……的、越来越精密的、分门别类的研究，而我竟敢横跨如此不同的西班牙和拉丁美洲发表议论，实在有违学术发展的精神。事实上，在从业之初，我打算专注于西班牙白银时代诗歌的专题研究，待日后成为这个领域的专家，然而我在学问上的忠贞度实在令人可疑，因为我时不时就被拉美的好东西吸引过去，以至渐渐偏离了原先的轨道。及至出得书斋，游历西班牙和墨西哥，又增长了很多新的见识和思考。本书中的这些文章，就是我花心偷情的证据，或者……怎么说呢，私生子吧。
写西班牙，写拉美，有发自内心的喜爱，也有审慎用心的批判。我不愿也不敢给我出版这些文字的初衷套上“增进中西两国人民友谊”或是“促进第三世界人民团结”之类的大话。两国人民要不要友谊，肯不肯团结，不是文艺工作者和外交官说了算的。在现实意义中，国际贸易和地缘政治才是更重要的事。不过我总记得一位阿根廷领事说过的话：生意来来去去，文化总会留下。尽管说完这句话后，他还是继续跟中国领导谈生意。文化交流从本质上说是一件挺纯洁的事，它超越了现实利益的考量。以一个中国人的角度观照和思考另一种文化，另一个世界，就是文化交流的一种形式。我只管写下我的感受和思考，其他神马的我就管不着了。
