文心雕龙这样的著作是后无继响的。今天我们批判地继承中国古典文学理论遗产，自然应该对这部著作加以认真的研究。

Content Description

《文心雕龙注（上下）》是中国古典文学，经过周泰两汉长时期的发展，创作上积累了丰富的经验，理论上也有过许多探索。到了魏晋六朝，创作上又有新的飞跃，理论上则进入了一个自觉地总结经验的时期，自建安年代起，章篇和的成部的文学理论专着，相继纷纷出现。至齐梁王之间，刘勰的文心雕龙出来，便成为后来居上的集大成之作。这部著作，凡十卷五十篇，可以清楚地分为四大部分，一、总论；二、文体论；三、创作论；四、鉴赏论，而以自骗子性的序志一篇作为第五十篇，总结全书。

Author Description

刘勰（约公元465-520），字彦和，生活于南北朝时期，中国历史上著名的文学理论家。祖籍山东莒县东莞镇大沈庄（大沈刘庄）。他曾官县令、步兵校尉、宫中通事舍人，颇有清名。晚年在山东莒县浮来山创办（北）定林寺。刘勰虽任多官职，但其名不以官显，却以文彰，一部《文心雕龙》奠定了他在中国文学史上和文学批评史上不可或缺的地位。
据《梁书.刘勰传》记载，刘勰早年家境贫寒，笃志好学，终生未娶，曾寄居江苏镇江，在钟山的南定林寺里，跟随僧佑研读佛书及儒家经典，32岁时开始写《文心雕龙》，历时五年，终于书成我国最早的文学评论巨著，该书共计三万七千余字，分十卷五十篇，书超前人，体大而虑周，风格迥异，独树一帜，对后世影响颇大。

贡献与影响
《文心雕龙》的创作目的是反对当时文风的「浮诡」、「讹滥」，纠正过去文论的狭隘偏颇。它在文学批评史上的突出贡献是：
①初步建立了文学史的观念。他认为，文学的发展变化，终归要受到时代及社会政治生活的影响。他在《时序》篇中说：「文变染乎世情，兴废系乎时序」，并在《时序》、《通变》、《才略》诸篇里，从上古至两晋结合历代政治风尚的变化和时代特点来探索文学盛衰的原因，品评作家作品。比如他说建安文学「梗概而多气」的风貌，是由于「世积乱离，风衰俗怨」而形成；东晋玄言诗泛滥，是由于当时「贵玄」的社会风尚所决定。注意到了社会政治对文学发展的决定影响。不仅如此，他还注意到了文学演变的继承关系。并由此出发，反对当时「竞今疏古」的不良倾向。这些都是十分可贵的。
②分析论述了文学创作内容和表现形式的关系，主张文质并重。在《风骨》篇里，他主张「风情骨峻」；在《情采》篇里，他强调情文并茂。但在二者之间，他更强调「风」、「情」的重要，他主张「为情而造文」，反对「为文而造情」，坚决反对片面追求形式的倾向。
③从创作的各个环节上总结了经验，提出了应该避免的失败教训。他指出，在创作上，作家「神与物游」的重要，强调了情与景的相互影响和相互转化。他还指出，不同风格是由于作家先天的才情、气质与后天的学识、习染存在着差异的结果。针对当时「近附而远疏」、「驰骛新作」的风气，他提出了继承文学传统的必要，论述了文学创作中「新」、「故」的关系。此外，他对创作中诸如韵律、对偶、用典、比兴、夸张等手法的运用，也提出了许多精辟的见解。
④初步建立了文学批评的方法论。在《知音》篇里，他批评了「贵古贱今」、「崇己抑人」、「信伪迷真」、「各执一隅之解」的不良风尚，要求批评家「无私于轻重，不偏于憎爱」。与此同时，他还提出了「六观」的批评方法：一观位体，看其内容与风格是否一致；二观置辞，看其文辞在表达情理上是否确切；三观通变，看其有否继承与变化；四观奇正，看其布局是否严谨妥当；五观事义，看其用典是否贴切；六观宫商，看其音韵声律是否完美。这在当时是最为全面和公允的品评标准。
《文心雕龙》在中国古代文学批评和文艺理论的发展史上具有巨大的奠基意义和深远的影响，是一份十分宝贵的遗产，受到世界上许多国家的理论工作者越来越多的注意和重视。在中国，对《文心雕龙》的研究、注释、翻译著述颇多。现存版本有影元至正本、《四部丛刊》影印明嘉靖本，另有今人范文澜《文心雕龙注》、杨明照《文心雕龙校注》、《文心雕龙校注拾遗》、周振甫《文心雕龙注释》、王利器《文心雕龙校证》等。
