圣诞节的时候，一定要听听耶稣诞生的传说。尽管故事一开头平平常常，但世界各地的人们都知道它。故事发生在罗马帝国的一个小小角落叫朱迪亚，希律王统治着这里。
在朱迪亚的北部，有一个叫做加利利的地方。这里的丘陵连绵起伏，长满了橄榄树和葡萄，牧童们赶着羊群，在稀稀拉拉的草地上放牧。在连绵的乡村和星星点点的农场之间，坐落着一个叫拿撒勒的小城，小城完美无缺平凡普通，这里曾是马利亚的家乡。那个时侯，人们都认为马利亚是个相当平凡普通的年轻女人。她要嫁的那个男人家世显赫，他的家族可上溯到犹太民族史上最伟大的国王——大卫王。但是，那是几个世纪前的事了，事实上每个人都认为约瑟是个相当平凡普通的男人：一个本地木匠。
然而，不寻常的事情发生了。上帝派天使加百列去拿撒勒，向马利亚传递一个信息。
