Book Abstract

所有的孩子都会长大,可爱的温迪在两岁的时候就懂得了这个道理。
温迪有个幸福的家。温迪的妈妈在结婚前是个脑子里充满浪漫幻想的姑娘,有很多人追求她,但最终是温迪的爸爸达林先生赢得了她的芳心。当初, 达林先生听说小伙子们都要跑去向温迪的妈妈求婚,就赶紧提前雇好马车,抢先一步赶到了温迪妈妈的身边。
温迪的妈妈非常贤惠,成为达林太太后便开始很细心地记账,就连买一棵甘蓝的钱也要记下来。但时间长了,她的心思就不在记账上了,账本上开始漏掉一些该记的东西,而多了一些没有脸的宝宝的画像。由此可见,达林太太整日都在期盼宝宝的到来。

无论我们是否愿意承认，“阅读”这种我们曾经用来获取知识的最主要的方式，在这个时代，竟然成为一件越来越古典的事情。从现实的角度来讲，阅读到底能带给我们什么，这也许是一个过于宽泛并且不容易回答的问题。而我，只能从自身的经历来说一说，阅读给我带来了什么。作为一个写作者，这些年在接受媒体的采访或举办讲座的时候，我经常被记者或读者问到一个问题—我是怎样走上写作这条道路的。很多年了，我一直创作以中国北方草原和森林为背景的动物小说，拥有了自己的读者群。写作，对于我就是一个不断回忆的过程，并在回忆的过程中对回忆不断地进行完善。在我的作品中，我一直努力传达给读者一些美好的东西—自由、平等、勇敢和爱。有时候，我也会努力回忆，自己是因为什么产生创作的冲动，继而走上写作这条道路的。后来，我意识到，在我的成长过程中，有两篇小说永远地改变了我。第一篇是《人间王国》。让我真正意识到什么是文学的，我想应该是卡彭铁尔的《人间王国》（载于 1985 年第四期《世界文学》。我一直保留着这本杂志，它的封面是莫奈的《睡莲》）。就是因为这篇小说，我懂得了什么是文学，我想那是我踏上文学之路的一个重要诱因。当时我不超过十岁，我恍惚记得当时自己读完这篇小说时的样子：我合上杂志，向窗外望去。事实上，在之前，我所阅读的所有文学作品，除了具有童话性质的儿童文学，几乎都是现实主义文学的作品。而这篇《人间王国》，无异于一道闪电划破了我那蒙昧的夜空，我对这篇作品的结论只有一个—小说竟然可以这么写，文学竟然可以是这样的。无论如何，这篇小说开阔了一个孩子的视野，从此，我会从另一个角度来看待这个世界。我不知道该如何形容自己当时的感受。那时天色已暗，我只是努力让自己的目光投向更辽阔的夜空。在那一刻，我终于意识到这世界上有一种高于现实的力量，它震撼了我，它是真正的文学；在那一刻，拉丁美洲的魔幻现实主义在一个中国孩子的心中播下了一颗文学的种子。
在我认真地写作了很多年之后，我也许仍然不能给文学下一个完美的定义，但我知道，通过阅读好的文学作品，我可以感受到一种强大而浩瀚的力量，它在生活之上，带给我自尊、悲悯和爱。另一篇是《七岔犄角的公鹿》（载于 1982 年第五期《民族文学》），它确定了我的写作方向。这篇短篇小说是作家乌热尔图先生的作品。通过这篇小说，我第一次知道在中国的大兴安岭还有一个狩猎民族叫鄂温克，他们饲养驯鹿，在森林中狩猎，还保留着原始的生活方式。长大后，我毫不犹豫地走入那片丛林，在迷路之后被鄂温克朋友维加捡到，来到森林深处的鄂温克营地。在那里，我看到了真正的驯鹿，结识了鄂温克部落中的善良人们。后来，我创作了大量以鄂温克民族为题材的小说。我明白，在很多年前的那个黄昏，从我被维加带入那个营地的那一刻起，我就成为了那个部落的一分子。当然，我需要感谢的还是乌热尔图先生，对我来讲，后来所发生的一切，都是因为在很多年前，我曾经读过一篇叫《七
岔犄角的公鹿》的小说。也许不需要总结太多了，这就是阅读曾经带给我的一切。那些好的文学作品，归根结底还是要向读者传达一种温暖的东西，让我们对这个世界有所希冀。我愿
