“开会啦！开会啦！”
小刺猬一边敲打着竹板，在红草莓村里一边跑一边叫：“开重要的会啦！”
小刺猬特别热情，不管村里出了点什么事，总是他来召集大家开会。每次开会，又总是小刺猬自己在台上讲话。
他跑到大河马的家，又跑到蛤蟆小姐的家，叫着：“开会啦！开会啦！”
最后，他到了大槐树下的小兔子家，嚷嚷：“小兔子，快去开会！”
山猫就住在这棵大槐树上，正等着小刺猬叫他去开会。可是，小刺猬和小兔子一起走了，根本没叫他！
小兔子悄悄问小刺猬：“不叫山猫吗？”
“呸，不叫！”小刺猬说，“他是个坏蛋！”
这话全被山猫听到了。他说：“哼，开会有什么稀罕，我还不想去呢！”
大家都来到了村口的一棵大樟树下。
“别讲话啦，现在开会。”小刺猬摆出一副很有气派的样子说，“这个，是这样，这个……”
小刺猬哕哕嗦嗦说了这样一件事：刚才，他到老野牛家去，老野牛把他梦见红蜻蜓的事告诉了他。小刺猬说，要找红蜻蜓还不简单吗？包在我身上啦……

小兔子说：“我还没吃饭呢！”
蛤蟆小姐说：“哎哟，我还没涂口红呢！”
小刺猬很凶地说：“别说啦，谁不去，谁就是像山猫一样的坏蛋！”
大家你看我，我看你，只好跟着小刺猬出发了。
这个时候，山猫也悄悄跟在他们后面。原来，他一直躲在树枝上悄悄地偷听呢。
山猫跑回家，拿了一只小竹笼子，也往森林里跑去了。“我要抢在他们前面，把红蜻蜓捉住，让他们都找不到！”山猫得意地想。
小刺猬带着大河马、小兔子和蛤蟆小姐往森林里走去。
山路上高高低低，石子又多，大家走得又喘又累，浑身是汗。
蛤蟆小姐穿的是高跟鞋，已经摔了二十几个跟头了。
大河马的头特别大、特别重，走～程，就要把头搁在岩石上，让脖子歇会儿。
小兔子倒不算太累，不过她的耳朵太长，不小心让树枝划了个大口子。
好不容易翻过了一座山。
大家还是没有找到红蜻蜓，累得躺在地上起不来了。
“红蜻蜓到底在哪儿啊？”大家问小刺猬。
