大国的市场优势首先是具有较强的市场吸纳能力。不同档次的需求分别对应着相应的收入阶层，由于人口总量规模庞大，即使个人的实际购买能力有限，但其市场规模总量依然巨大，不同层次的需求都具有相当大的规模，差不多世界上任何国家的任何类型的商品都能找到一定的市场，这对任何自主技术创新的企业来说有一定的生存环境。另外，由于高收入阶层的消费往往会对低收入阶层的消费产生较强的导向作用，需求层次多必然会对大国国内市场依次升级——即逐渐从较低层次过渡到较高层次产生推动力，从而促使市场对自主技术创新的高端商品的需求不断快速增长。
4.1.3.3 后发大国在自主技术创新中的中小企业活力优势
