以爸爸的观点来看，我们家的食物可以说是上帝赐予的，同样也可以说是爸爸妈妈花钱买来的，也就是说焕勋和焕曰的说法都对。
不过，孩子们，还记得爸爸以前跟你们提到过的英国经济学家亚当．斯密吗？他曾经这样分析过自己餐桌上的食品：
“我们每天吃的东西全都是托生产大米的农民、卖肉的肉食店老板以及面包师的福。”
但是，农民、肉食店老板和面包师是怕我们挨饿才给我们这些东西的吗？很显然不是。农民、肉食店老板和面包师也都是为了贩卖商品来获得“自身利益”。
也就是说，人们最终都是怀着获取自身利益的想法去劳动的，只有这样，他们才能吃得更好，生活得更好，每个人都只是为了满足自身的利益才贩卖商品的，从这个角度来讲，大家都在帮助别人。这可是我们从来没有考虑过的有趣过程。
每个开店铺的人都想： “要好好干活挣钱”、 “要卖猪肉赚钱”、 “要比旁边的铺子卖得更多才能当有钱人”。人们都希望自己能赢利，那么生产伪劣商品，并且高价出售可不可以呢？
举例来说，焕日可能想把价值为100韩元的面包卖价1000韩元。焕日可能会想：哈哈，我真是个天才！
爸爸会说： “但这个是愚蠢的，因为骗得了初一，骗不过十五。”
为什么呢？照焕日的这种想法去做的话，会产生什么后果呢？由于顾客最开始不知道具体情况，肯定会上当，到这种“昧心店”去。因为他不清楚面包的价值到底是多少，很可能会用1000韩元来购买这种只值100韩元的面包。但是，这种欺骗行为迟早会被拆穿的，到其他面包店看一看，不就发现这种面包的价格应该是100韩元了吗？如果这样的话，顾客会怎么做呢？
肯定不会再去这家“昧心店”了啊！这家“昧心店”也就再也卖不出去面包，最后只能关门了。
那么想赚钱的话应该怎么办才对呢？这时可以进行一下换位思考。
应该生产比其他店铺更加“物美价廉”的面包才行，也就是说，应该适当少赚一部分利润。这样的话，顾客会觉得“这家店的面包既好吃价格又便宜”，以后也就会只选择这一家面包店，不会再去其他店了。最后，其他顾客同样会蜂拥而至，在这家面包店前排起长队。他们的头脑中会重新形成“就算这家面包店价格比其他地方贵也要在这里消费”的概念。这样一来，该面包店适当提高价格也会被顾客接受。
而最开始就生产伪劣的商品骗顾客的商人最终会怎样呢？他虽然为了挣得更多的利益耍了心眼儿，但最后肯定会被顾客识破而走向失败。反过来说，那些正直的商人们会怎样呢？他们看起来开始好像受了些损失，但其实最终会获利更多，可以生活得更好。因为他们知道，先为顾客考虑，以后返还回来的利益会更多。

Introduction

有一次，爸爸、妈妈、哥哥和我开车去春川玩。我们本来预备了很多点心放在车里，但是在去春川的路上，我和哥哥却突然发现我们俩最喜欢吃的那种点心只剩下了最后一个。
哥哥对我说： “我是哥哥，我应该吃最后这个。”我听了不服气，回答说： “哪有那样的啊，你是哥哥才应该让着弟弟嘛，应该是我吃。”点心只剩了一个，可是哥哥和我却都想吃，谁也不肯让步，因为这个我俩甚至吵了起来。爸爸这时在旁边突然开口了：“你俩吵架正是因为‘资源的稀缺’啊！”
哥哥跟我谁都不知道爸爸这话是什么意思，全都呆住了。看到我们这样，爸爸给我们仔细解释起来。爸爸说，如果某种物品的数量从开始就是固定的，而希望得到这种物品的人非常多的话，该物品的价值就会上升。因为人们会相互竞争这种物品的所有权。这样的话，这种物品的缺少就可以称为“资源的稀缺”。
还有一次，我在超市里为买哪种零食而发愁。我是去买巧克力的，可是我也想吃货架那边的冰激凌；如果买了冰激凌，我又会想吃巧克力。我正发愁的时候，爸爸来找我了，他问我： “要爸爸教你应该买哪一样吗？”原来，爸爸的办法就是：在为选择哪种商品而发愁时，就用经济的方式去思考，这样就会很容易解决问题了。
爸爸和妈妈就是这样从生活中的点点滴滴来教我们经济方面的知识。因为爸爸和妈妈希望哥哥和我能有经济头脑。在韩国不是有很多有不良信用记录的人吗？他们用信用卡来付账，到期却不能还款。爸爸妈妈说那都是他们不懂经济哲学的结果。如果这些人能懂得经济哲学，用合理的方式来思考，消费的时候不超支，也就不会弄得自己还不起信用卡的借款了。所以爸爸妈妈经常跟我们强调要用合理的方式去思考，按照优先的顺序去选择，这也正是用经济的方式思考。
而且为了实现我们的梦想，我们也一定要用经济的方式去思考。
这本书中记载了我们一家到现在为止的“经济大讨论”，包括各种学习和交谈的内容。有爸爸妈妈对哥哥和我进行教育的内容，也有哥哥和我看的、听的和学的东西；有我们将日常生活中发生的事用经济的方式重新思考的，也有直接开办、运营股份公司，对股份公司进行了解的内容；还有去几个国家旅行，从旁观的角度去了解各个国家经济的内容。当然，通过这个过程，我们一家也学到了以经济的方式进行思考的方法。
爸爸和妈妈经常说我们现在学习经济知识，以后也应该继续学习才对。他们还说等哥哥和我长大以后，现在所听到、学到的内容会给我们带来很大的帮助。因此，哥哥和我也正在努力用经济的方式去思考，用经济的方式去行动。
