本书研究的特点在于通过对经济结构尤其是产业结构的深入分析来探索中国经济增长的数量特征、数量关系和数量规律，由此探索在我国现阶段经济增长进入新常态后，如何根据经济形势与经济环境的新变化，通过新政策、新方法和新制度来改善我国的经济增长和经济发展，具有很大的应用价值。
我国正处于全面建成小康社会的*后阶段，经济增长面临新的挑战和机遇，本书的研究不但有助于人们深刻认识我国目前经济发展所处的阶段、所面临的挑战以及解决矛盾的途径，而且有助于人们增强建设现代化强国的信心，因而将产生较好的社会影响和效益。

Author Description

刘伟，山东蒙阴人。1978年春考入北京大学经济学系（77级本科），先后获得北京大学经济学学士、硕士、博士学位，毕业后留校任教，1992年晋升为教授，1994年被聘为博士生导师。国务院学位委员会委员、理论经济学学科评议组成员、长江学者特聘教授（2005年）。曾任北京大学经济学院院长、北京大学常务副校长、北京大学人文社会科学研究院院长、《经济科学》主编，现任中国人民大学校长。自20世纪80年代末起，在《经济研究》《中国社会科学》《北京大学学报》（哲社版）等学术杂志上发表多篇学术论文，其中《所有权的经济性质、形式及权能结构》（载《经济研究》1991年第4期）获首届全国青年社会科学成果奖经济学一等奖（胡绳青年学术奖）。出版学术著作多部，其中《工业化进程中的产业结构研究》获孙冶方经济学著作奖，《产权通论》《中国经济改革与发展的产权制度解释》获北京市哲学社会科学成果一等奖，《中国市场经济发展研究》获教育部第六届中国高校人文社会科学成果奖经济学一等奖。教育部哲学社会科学研究重大课题攻关项目“中国市场经济发展的研究”、“我国货币政策体系与传导机制研究”首席专家。荣获北京市教学名师奖、教育部全国高校教学成果一等奖。

改革开放三十多年来，中国经济实现了创记录的持续高速增长，这是不争的事实。这一持续高速增长具有什么样的规律或特征，特别是在增长的同时有无结构上的深刻变化?结构变化与数量扩张之间具有怎样的联系?结构演变和经济增长是否有效率的支持?这一系列问题均需要我们进行深入的研究。本研究的目的，是通过对改革开放三十多年来我国经济增长及增长过程中产业结构变化的分析，探讨经济增长中经济总量与产业结构之间的相互联系和数量关系，研究体制改革与政府宏观决策对我国经济增长和产业结构升级的影响，并在这些分析的基础上得出我们的研究结论，提出相关的政策建议。
