学习本章的目的有两点。其一，对国际贸易实务课程的学习内容有一个初步的认识。认识国际贸易实务有其特定的交易技术要求和相关国际贸易惯例和法律规定。其二，了解中国对外贸易进出口的特点，了解中国现行对外贸易进出口业务的特点以及中国加入WTO以后国家管理进出口业务的变化。通过本章的学习，可以对国际贸易实务的总体概念和中国的宏观外贸环境有一个初步的认识，进而为以后的学习打下良好的基础。
第一节国际贸易与国内贸易的区别
国际贸易是位于两个不同国家的厂商之间的交易活动，具有线长、面广、环节多、难度大、变化快的特点，要求从业人员具备外贸交易程序、国际结算、国际运输和保险、技术标准、商品检验和商业法律等多方面的专业知识。为了更深入地了解国际贸易活动的特点，我们可以运用比较分析的方法，从熟悉的国内贸易活动出发来对比二者的不同之处。从本质上说，国际贸易只是国内贸易在空间上超越国界的一种延伸，但这种延伸由于涉及不同的国家，既需要按照一定的国际贸易惯例和法规，也需要考虑贸易对象国家的相关贸易法规和习惯做法，从而增加了国际贸易活动的难度、复杂性和风险。具体来说，国际贸易与国内贸易的区别主要体现在以下几个方面。
