Author Description

庄若江，江南大学教授，硕士生导师，江南文化与影视研究中心主任，无锡市作协副主席。专著有《说吴》《城市文化》《吴文化内涵的现代解读》《无锡望族》《台湾女作家散文论稿》等，主编著作（（创业文化与地域经济发展》《创意城市蓝皮书（无锡卷）》等，发论文130余篇，另有文学创作（（坐看云起》《江南望族》《中华酒歌》《江南文脉》等。

Book Abstract

《工商脉动与城市文化 以无锡为例》：
这个人叫“太伯”，后人亦称“泰伯”。司马迁在《史记·吴太伯世家》中写道：“太伯之奔荆蛮，自号句吴，荆蛮义之，从而归之千余家，立为吴泰伯。”这就是句吴（亦作“勾吴”）的起源了。
但泰伯为何许人？从何地而来？为何千里迢迢南奔荆蛮？《史记》曰：“吴太伯，太伯弟仲雍，皆周太王之子，而王季历之兄也。季历贤，而有圣子昌，太王欲立季历以及昌，於是太伯、仲雍二人乃奔荆蛮，文身断发，示不可用，以避季历。”原来，泰伯出身于周原正统王族，乃黄帝轩辕氏的直系后裔。商时，黄帝的十二世孙古公□父（周太王）建立了周部落。太王有三子，太伯、仲雍与季历。按祖制长子太伯理应是王位继承人，但年逾四十的他膝下无子，而三子季历不仅颇有才干，且育有一个才华品貌出众的儿子，名姬昌。相传姬昌出生时有圣瑞出现，长大后聪慧贤德，深受太王喜爱。太王欲将周部落未来发展寄托于姬昌，故希望由季历继位，以便日后王位能传于姬昌。太伯得知父亲心愿后，毅然决定放弃王位远走高飞。他带着二弟仲雍悄然离开母土，千里迢迢，远走东南，这便是历史上的“泰伯奔吴”。泰伯之举，既满足了太王心愿，使季历顺利继位，也给自己找到了新的发展空间。
纵观数千年的中国历史，伴随权力更迭的多是阴谋、血腥和杀戮。相传建文帝朱允炆在叔父朱棣夺位后遭到追杀，避祸江南时路过泰伯墓，遥想这位三让天下的古人，目睹眼前为了权位至亲相残的现况，这位逃难的帝王不禁发出了“深惭今日争天下，遗笑勾吴至德邦”的千古喟叹。泰伯的让王之举广受后世赞颂，孔子赞曰：“太伯可谓至德也矣，三以天下让，民无得而称焉！”汉高祖刘邦挥毫写下《泰伯颂》，乾隆帝亦钦笔题写了“三让高踪”的匾额。范仲淹、文徵明等历代文人墨客更是留下颂诗无数。可以说，泰伯以其高尚宽厚的行为谱写了中华王权更迭史上的“至德”篇章。也许，今天已很难弄清泰伯出走究竟是主动禅让还是无奈避让，但这种和平交接的权力方式无疑维护了部落的和谐安宁，也开启了吴地新的历史。
