Book Abstract

离了精神分析理论和技术，进入了一个观察儿童及其所在社会环境的新领域。这个观察过程中并不包括探查病态心理疾病的艰难任务，而是要把握儿童心灵中反映出的人类生活现实，事实上可以说它包含了人类自诞生以来的全部生活。人类心灵探险的历史还有待于我们去书写，还没有人描述过儿童所面临的障碍，或是他们与比自己强大的成年人之间的冲突。成年人为儿童制定规则，但是却并不理解儿童。

没有人描绘过儿童不为人知的痛苦、他们稚嫩的心灵所遭受的困扰、在实现天性所向的目标时经历的失败，以及儿童潜意识中自卑感的增长。精神分析对这些问题几乎没有什么帮助，因为它主要关注疾病和补救治疗。

另一方面，精神分析可以从对儿童心灵的研究中得到帮助，因为研究儿童是在处理正常人的问题和具有普遍性的问题，旨在预防引起精神疾病的心理冲突，这正是精神分析学所关注的。
