第1章独立能力训练

只有独立，才能生存

美国心理学家曾对1500名正常儿童进行长期追踪观察，30年后发现，20%的人没有取得什么成就，这些人与其中成就最大的20%的人相比，最显著的差异不在于智力，而在于个性品质不同——成就显著者都具有良好的独立性和坚强的毅力。可见，独立性对孩子的成长是重要的。

独立性是现代人格素质的重要方面，是指生活上能够自理，学习工作中能够独立完成各项任务，碰到问题和困难能够独立自主地做出决策并会实施，不轻易受他人思想的左右而改变主意。独立性对于孩子的生活、学习质量及日后发展都具有非常重要的影响，是一种让孩子受益终身的素质。

欧美国家的父母早已认识到独立对于孩子的重要性，普遍重视孩子独立性的培养。他们认为，孩子年龄虽小但是一个独立的人，所以他们对孩子的锻炼往往从一出生就开始了：让婴儿单独睡在自己的小床里，孩子还在很小的时候就让他们单独睡在自己的房间；教育孩子自己走、自己跑，跌倒了自己爬起来；上小学后，不但指导孩子通过送报、推销商品、当小工等自己挣一些钱，还鼓励他们多干些家务活。这样训练出来的孩子一般都具有很强的独立能力。

我国却不一样。我国大多数父母对孩子的事情是全方位“包办”，孩子在家不用做任何事情，过着衣来伸手、饭来张口的生活，甚至有不少孩子上高中了还没有洗过衣服。这使孩子从小就失去了独立性，长大后也是事事依赖父母，给孩子以后的独立生活带来了极为不利的后果，着实让人担忧！

“天才少年”魏永康13岁以高分考入湘潭大学物理系，成为当时湖南省年龄最小的大学生，17岁考上中科院的硕博连读研究生，这一光辉经历让很多人羡慕不已。

考上中科院高能物理研究所研究生后，魏永康来到北京读书。他认为自己已经长大了，执意不要妈妈“陪读”。然而，突然没有了妈妈的照料，极度缺乏独立能力的他根本适应不了，不仅学习受到困扰，就连日常生活也无法自理。冬天里的一天，魏永康竟然只穿着单衣、趿着拖鞋去天安门逛了一圈，周围的游客像看怪物一样使劲盯着他。

2～3岁是培养孩子独立自主的关键期，在这一时期用正确的方法引导孩子做自己应该做的事情，可以培养并增强他们的自信与成就感。当孩子充满自信时，学习愿望就会较强，所达到的效果也会更好。

◆有利于孩子责任感的形成

一个人的责任感强烈与否，很大程度上取决于其独立能力的形成。独立能力强的孩子，往往敢于承担责任，而且有能力承担责任，责任感也相对较强。而只有树立强烈的责任感，才能自觉承担一些应该而且能够承担的责任，敢于面对生活的挑战，独立思考问题和解决问题。
