两个小时的机会成本
坦白地讲，我在其他人眼里算是个“狠心”的妈妈。
记得儿子才一岁时，刚会说话，有一次自己不小心把头磕到桌子上，哇哇大哭。孩子奶奶赶紧抱起孙子用手打桌子，不停地说：“让你碰痛我，打你打你！”然后哄孙子：“别哭了，我都打它了，来，你也打它，谁让它碰我们了。”
这一幕估计在很多家庭都上演过。但是，看似经常发生的事情未必就是合理的。
所以，孩子摔倒了，我会让他自己站起来，告诉他：“你是个男子汉，不哭。”
现在的孩子大都是独生子女，不像以前家里一大家子人，潜移默化地就能培养出孩子敢于担当、尊老爱幼这些美德。现在的孩子缺乏能够自然滋生出这些品德的环境。父母大多都属于上班族，孩子的教育时间相对少一些，对于“责任”和“独立”，如果不注意培养，孩子很难自己意识到。
对于儿子这方面的教育，我是从小抓起，从点滴做起。这样一来，外人看起来难免会以为我是个“狠”妈妈。
孩子四岁的时候，我和他逛街，他看上了一把玩具枪，缠着我非要买。这些玩具他买回去一般新鲜一会儿就扔一边了，于是我就试着和他商量：“家里有很多枪了，不买好不？”结果他一屁股坐在大街上，又哭又闹，不肯起来。
一把枪很便宜，估计很多大人为了息事宁人，一般都会买下来了事。但是，我发现孩子已经学会用这种耍无赖的方式来达到自己的目的了。如果开了这个头，以后满足不了他的欲望时，他还会采取这种方式。等再大一些，他可能还会用其他更极端的方式。
我意识到，对于他的这种方式，我应该给他个明确的答案。
于是，我连拖带拽地把他拉回家。到了家门口，他就躺在楼梯上，说什么也不起来。济南的冬天特别地冷，寒冬腊月，他就一直横躺在那里。我心疼地偷偷看过他几次，他一直没有起来的意思。我告诉自己：必须狠下心，现在的管教可能也就几个小时的成本，值得。就这样，我们母子对峙了两个多小时，他终于冷得忍不住了，又看我这么坚决，就自己爬起来无趣地回到了家里。
后来，我对儿子讲：“以后想要什么东西，可以好好跟妈妈讲明理由，比如你为什么要这个东西，这个东西对你有什么用，是不是必需的？想好理由再和妈妈说。如果理由充分，妈妈肯定会给你买。但如果采取赖皮的方式对付家长，永远不能得到想要的东西。”
从那以后，他再也没有因为想要的东西得不到而耍无赖，也慢慢养成了买一个东西前先思考一下的习惯。
可能有的家长也意识到，不能纵容孩子耍无赖的习惯，但是往往狠不下心来。比如在上面那样的情况里，可能坚持了一个半小时，就开始去哄孩子了，这样一来前功尽弃，不但教育没有成功，孩子还白挨了一个半小时的冻。而且这次纵容了孩子，以后想改正孩子的习惯，可不是两个多小时就能拿下的，将会付出更大的代价。
孩子小的时候，他耍无赖也就在楼梯上坐一会儿不回家，再大一些，他可能就会想出离家出走类的威胁方式，那样父母们可能更不敢采取狠心的措施了。
爱孩子，但不是溺爱。爱孩子的同时要保持理性，坚持原则。哪些是孩子该做的，哪些是不该做的，家长首先要有一个是非标准，且要一以贯之。对于那些不利于孩子优秀品质养成的“小事”，家长一定要修正。该“狠”的时候，一定要“狠”下心来，坚持到底。
在孩子小的时候，为了培养孩子的一个品德可能只需要两个多小时的机会成本。随着孩子逐渐长大，这个机会成本也会上升。如果用成本管理的办法来算一算，该怎么办就很清楚了。
所以，在疼爱孩子的时候一定要理性，理智地去做对孩子有利的事情，这才是真正的爱孩子，而不是放纵孩子。
