请了解男孩独特的生理特征很多家长反映，自己的男孩调皮、捣蛋、精力旺盛、不听话、爱玩爱闹，不知道怎么管教。尤其当男孩进入小学之后，学习越来越重要，家长更担心男孩因为调皮捣蛋，影响学习。因此，家长免不了训斥、打骂男孩，想让男孩变乖些。然而，这种管教方式并没什么效果，男孩依然调皮捣蛋。其实，要想真正管教男孩，还需了解他们独特的生理特征。了解之后，你会发现，男孩调皮是有原因的，管教他们有更合适、更有效的方法。

——睾丸素对男孩生命历程的影响生活中，类似的大人训斥男孩的场面并不少见：
“你为什么打小鹏呀？”妈妈厉声问道。

“那又怎样？他是新生怎么了？”
“他太招人烦了，我看他不顺眼。”男孩耸耸肩。
看到这个场景，你会想：为什么我家男孩也这样？经常莫名其妙地和别的男孩打架？难道他有暴力倾向吗？也许你会像很多家长那样，严厉地训斥甚至动手打男孩，想让他长点记性，以后不要随便打人。可是，男孩还是会表现出攻击性。为什么会这样呢？其实，这与男孩的生理特征有密切的关系。
在男孩的体内，有一种东西叫睾丸素，又称睾酮，它是一种由男性的睾丸以及肾上腺分泌的荷尔蒙，也叫雄性激素。它在维持骨质密度、肌肉强度、提神醒脑、提升体能等方面具有重要的作用。尽管雄性激素不是男性独有的，却是男孩表现出雄性特征的重要因素。
有一位生物学家曾做过这样一个实验：给一只瘦弱、胆小的猴子注射了一小滴睾丸素，猴子立刻做出了令人吃惊的举动。它跑去向猴王挑战，要与之决斗，以争夺猴王之位。这种情况在猴群中是绝对不会出现的，因为只有强壮的猴子才可能战胜猴王。但是这只原本胆小、瘦弱的猴子在注射睾丸素之后，面对强壮的猴王竟然毫无畏惧感，并且在决斗中获胜了，顺利当上了猴王。

当男孩还在母体中时，他体内的睾丸素就开始形成，男性特征也开始显现。男孩出生之后，他体内的睾丸素含量与一个12岁男孩体内的睾丸素含量相当，在睾丸素的作用下，男孩开始迅速地生长发育。数月之后，男孩体内的睾丸素含量会下降到出生时的20%。在蹒跚学步的阶段，男孩体内的睾丸素含量也比较低。因此，在学习走路时，男孩的表现与女孩类似。
