Book Abstract

锡耶纳大教堂
意大利 -- 锡耶纳
锡耶纳大教堂始建于公元1229年，于14世纪末期竣工，是意大利哥特式建筑的辉煌典范。工程于1258至1285年在熙笃会圣加尔加诺的修士尼卡拉·比萨诺和吉欧瓦尼·比萨诺指导下进行。父子俩负责豪华的白、红、黑三色大理石立面，它最终于14世纪末期竣工。今天所见的雕塑大部分为复制品，即便如此，它们也已历经了大规模重修。尖塔上的马赛克是现代威尼斯人的作品，作者是穆斯尼和弗兰吉。
14世纪初期，随着政治方面的重要性日益提高，锡耶纳城决定建造一座巨大的富丽堂皇的主教座堂，但在工程即将完工的1317到1321年之间，洛伦佐·马伊塔尼指出，工程出现了缺陷。1339年，教堂的设计（在这一设计稿中，如今的教堂只是一座十字形教堂的耳堂）交由朗多·迪·皮耶特罗实施，但由于和邻近城市之间的战争和1348年的黑死病，整个工程除了右边一侧完工，其余部分都中止了。

棚屋采用钢材、木材和玻璃等建筑材料做"外壳"，体现了当地棚屋明亮轻盈和易损的特点；同时采用了与新喀里多尼亚棚屋一样的传统村落布局。棚屋都朝东，既利于采光，也能使建筑免遭信风袭击。
棚屋的外墙为双层木肋板，层与层之间由钢材连接，中间填充的是绿柄桑树皮，起到遮阳的作用。吉巴欧文化中心是传统圆锥形棚屋的现代科技版，在茂盛的草木间耸立着；它改变了当地的天际线，但没有改变自然界的平衡。每座棚屋的设计灵感都来自于它们身后的独特背景。
皮亚诺敬畏谦恭的设计造就了一个文化中心，它很好地完成了一个光荣的使命--保护和传播当地的美丽。
