（一）儿童骨骼的解剖生理
儿童的骨与关节解剖、生物学特征、对创伤的反应、损伤类型、修复过程、处理原则都与成人有所不同，儿童骨折不等同于成人骨折。
儿童骨骼的特征：儿童骨骼与成人相比更容易发生骨折，儿童骨骼也较成人允许更多的应变塑形，儿童骨膜厚，生物学行为活跃，骨折后往往一侧骨膜尚保持连续性，这也是为什么儿童开放骨折远比成人要少的一个原因。
儿童管状骨端存在骨骺、骺生长板，是骨骼结构力学上的薄弱区。骺生长板肥大细胞层的强度明显低于骨骼、关节囊与韧带的强度，所以儿童骺损伤明显多于关节囊韧带损伤。
